In my opinion there are many bad skins on planetminecraft. So for people who wanna know how to skin, here is how:

1.use the program gimp. don't use internet sites for skinning. they dont have control over the opacity of your brush.

2. use the pencil tool to paint the basic colors

3. than the shading (most inportant). choose the color black. Drag the opacity down to around 5 percent. Click on the incremental option somewhere down. than just paint a circle around the edges of every side of his head and body. If you go some more on the outside it becomes darker. Try to get a smooth transition between the edges and the middel.

4. If thats done ad some details.

5. ad some shadow to the details. try to make it so that the light comes from above.

Tips:
- Try to not have a big space with one the same color.
- your shading should look natural and not astraight line with the same color pixels.

If you have done all this it should be a good skin.
Remember that this is just my way of skinning. There are other ways but, I think this is one of the best.
