Ever had a server that was ruined because you accidentally gave op to the wrong person? I have, and it's horrible. But there's a way to stop it, and that's what i'm going to be talking about now.

Beggars
You will get these sorts of people all the time, they join and automatically out of no where, they ask for a rank. Usually staff or op. These people are called beggars. Just a tip, if they come on asking for staff, and you give it to them, there's a 90/100% chance that it won't turn out well. At all.

What do i do?
It's simple, if someone joins your server asking for staff, simply say no. If they keep asking just mute them or warn them. Now after this, if they keep begging for it, kick or temp ban. Either way, they didn't join the server for the fun of it. And even if you know/trust this person, it's not a good idea to promote them.

Here's a Story
There's this friend i had, he was staff on another server with me. He came on to my server and asked me over and over again to get him mod. I though, he was mod with me before, why not give it to him. So i promoted him, it was all fine until he asked for admin, for some reason, i gave it to him. There was another friend that was admin on that server too, i gave him mod because i thought i trusted him. One day he comes on skype and tells me, Your friend wants to op me so we can grief. I asked my other friend if it was true, he said it was a joke. I go with it. That same day, i get on my server, and they both leave as soon as i got on. I checked to see if they were hiding something and turns out one of them opped the other, and they both griefed the server. I banned them both. And believe it or not, one of them still asks me to give him admin back.
