Minecraft. The only place where you can change from extremely lucky to extremely unlucky in a matter of 6 seconds. But here's a question: How do you survive?
Well, in terms, there are many things you can do to affect your survival. Here are 5 ways you can survive 5 minutes longer.
1.) If you don't recongize the mob, leave it alone.
One of the biggest mistakes of Minecraft is punching a creeper not knowing it's going to explode. If you don't recongize the mob, leave it alone. Even if it's not hostile, just don't take that huge risk. In the 1.8 update, Mojang added Guardians. Guardians can kill you in an instant. They can swim and travel on land. Leave the mobs you don't know alone.
2.) Never leave the base without torches.
If it's daytime, bring torches. If it's nighttime, bring torches. If it's a bright area, bring torches. If it's daytime, you don't know when you're going back. If it's nighttime, mobs can spawn at a minimum 24 blocks away from you. If it's a bright area, you could wander into a darker area. Exploring without torches is dangerous.
3.) Always have a water bucket handy.
"Never dig straight down." Unless you have a water bucket. If you dig straight down, and just so happen to be in the 1-in-266 chance there will be lava under you, bring a water bucket. Place it directly under you. It will turn the 4 blocks around you into obsidian. If there's no lava, you could place your water as far as you can reach and swim to the top. Then, with a second water bucket, place it as far as you can reach and take the water from the stream you're floating in. Repeat this until you're out of the hole. Falling a great depth? Place water under you to destroy all fall damage.
4.) Don't mine unknown blocks with your hand.
Blocks. There are so many of them. More added all the time. But what is this? A new block I've never seen before? What do I do? Go home and find a pickaxe. Don't mine it with your hand or whatever is in your hotbar/inventory. Go home, find a pickaxe, and go back. It will still be there. (Unless you're in a multiplayer world, then, well........)
5.) Don't kill hostile mobs for no reason.
Hostile mobs may give you a rough time. That's when you can kill them. But if they're standing there minding their own business, don't kill them just because you just so happen to have a sword. Each hit takes away more durability, and you may urgently need that durability during a large group of mobs around your house, trying to attack you. And anyways, have pacience. Zombies and skeletons burn in the daylight. Spiders aren't hostile during the day. If the mob chases you, kill it only if it bothers you.
That is 5 ways to survive 5 minutes longer. If you like it, give it a like and give me a subscribe. Maybe I'll make a How To Survive 5 More Minutes :)
