Hello Minecrafters, today I'm going to be showing you how to survive your 1st night of Minecraft hardcore. I recommend you use the seed "Steve and Stephone". Once you have loaded up your world, gather some wood. 20 pieces of wood would be perfect. Do not get any less. You can get more, though, but I recommend 20. Now find a hill with a small top. Why? Mobs are less likely to spawn on top of a hill. Obviously, you need to craft your wood into planks. Now build a 3 x 5 house with a wall that is 3 blocks high and then a roof. Make some space for 1 door. It shouldn't have taken you very long. Build a crafting table and 8 sticks. Now craft a sword, an ax, a pick, and shovel out of wood. Craft a door for your house, too. You should have one stick leftover. Now go mine and get 8 cobble and one piece of coal. Now make a furnace. Gather at least 2 pieces of steak or pork. Now chop 2 pieces of wood. Use wood as the ingredient and the other one for the fuel and wait for it to be smelted and craft the charcoal torches with your remaining stick and charcoal to light up your house. Not just for you to see better, but mobs will also stay away from the area. Don't forget to smelt your remaining food with your coal. To make the night go by faster, kill some sheep to make a bed. Your house may be small, but it should fit. Craft a chest and you can use it as your personal storage. Go to sleep in your bed (if you made one). If you didn't make a bed, that's okay. You can just stand in your house and wait. If you get hungry eat your food. Congratulations! You now know the best way to survive your 1st night on Minecraft hardcore. Please diamond if you like, and please heart if you love. Don't forget to comment, either. Peace out!

I think your theory of mobs spawning on top of hills is false.
Do you have any evidence of this?
Or is this just a pure hunch, because I am nearly 99% sure there is no difference. They spawn close to you, that's really it. Like a mob grinder/trap they spawn high in the sky. What's the difference? Other than there is no bottom base for that. False information is bad :C

There are less mobs to worry about, though...
Think about it! They don't normally spawn on top of hills, but near the ground, and they jump less than your character. They can probably smell, hear, or see you from a 12 block radius.
Am I right?

Those physics don't really work in minecraft.
Actually they spawn the same amount, they just spawn near you.
And they normally do, they don't need to jump up hills, they just spawn up there.
There's not really less if you built your house up there, mobs spawn near you, doesn't matter what platform you are on. So actually if you had a house on top of a hill, there would be less mobs on the ground than the hill.

Have you used the seed "Steve and Stephone"? Do you have 1.5.2, either?

(Ignore the
à 's)
That is so dumb, please.Seeds doesn't affect the spawn rate.
And it doesn't matter what version you are in, I do actually have 1.5.2 obviously.
And check the WIKI if you on't believe me.
Mobs spawn near you, what you said is absolutely dumb, no offense. It doesn't matter what land form they are in, they just spawn near you. And they jump the same amount, the same amount to reach its location, and that's if they are chasing you,
And do your research kid... mobs don't smell, hear, or see you. Its code man :)
And its not a 12 block radius, it is a 16 block radius.
Check the wiki bro, "
Cave Spiders, Zombies, Creepers, Skeletons, Spiders, and Spider Jockeys require aÃ
light
à level of Ã
7 or less
à to naturally spawn."

So it doesn't matter at all about land-scape, they just spawn near you.

"
and usually avoid walking off cliffs high enough to cause falling damageà "
There is a showcase on movement for hostile mobs, which is even more advanced then my quote above. So please quit trying to say I'm wrong.
They won't fall off cliffs, and they jump just as much as players, quit using assumptions to assume you are correct.
Go to the wiki of mobs, please.

O.K., but it's better to build the stupid house on top of a hill with a small top. Notice I put about a 12 block radius. Why are the A's on your comment?
