My tutorial today is teach new minecraft players, how to survive the first night in a forest or hilly biome. When you spawn, first, you should look for trees and water. Both of these are essential because you need wood for tools and water may have fish in it, providing a food source. Note: Your house should be close to where you have originally spawned. This will make it easier to get back to your house if you die. After you have found trees, which are more important than water, start punching them until you have enough for 1 crafting table, 2 wooden pickaxes, 1 wooden sword and 1 wooden ax. This amounts to 17 logs. Once all of these have been crafted, look for any cows or pigs so that you may have food. Note: Do not spend too much time on this. If it is already noon in the minecraft world, please go to the 2nd paragraph. If you find an ample amount of pigs or cows, press F3 and put the coordinates on a piece of paper or sticky note. You should go back later for more food. Five pork chops or beef will be plenty.
Now start gathering some more wood, around 30 logs will be fine. After this is done, then you should start digging stairs into the ground. Go around 6 blocks deep and start mining a 7(Length) by 5(width) by 3(Height). This mining process will provide you with enough cobblestone to make a stone pickaxe and a stone sword as well as a furnace. Place the furnace and put the logs on top and some wooden planks or sticks on the bottom. While the charcoal is being made, make lots of sticks to build a fence around your house. Once the charcoal is finished, make around 20 torches and place them around your house and in you house. If you have found enough wool to make a bed, craft one and place it. If you do not have wool, mine through the night or wait it out.
That is how you survive the first night in a forest or hilly biome. If you spawn in a desert biome, this next tutorial is for you.
If you spawn in a desert biome, immediately look for water. This may be the only way you can get food (fishing and is also is a good way to get water for farms, if you can find the seeds.) Wandering around looking for a different biome may waste time and could potentially kill you because you couldn't find home in time for night. The first thing to do is dig under you to make a shelter, if you see a different biome in the distance, go over there and do as I told in the selected biome tutorial. If you are out of luck wood wise, then proceed to make the shelter until you get to sandstone or stone. After you have made a 4(Length) by 4(Width) by 3(Height) you should use the sand you aquired to make sandstone. This will provide you with cover when night comes. Once this shelter is made, explore. Look around for cactus to make walls for your shelter and water if you haven't found it. Pick up anything you may find useful, including, wood and tools from NPC villages as well as the wheat they might have there. Find your way back to your shelter and get back there before nightfall. Depending on what you have, make a wall around your shelter with either sand or cactus,(preferably cactus.) If you have wood, make a crafting table and a pickaxe and mine underground to make your house bigger. If you have food, save it. Most likely when night hits, you will have to wait it out. However if you follow the steps I told you, you will have a higher chance of living.
If you spawn in a snow biome, the tutorial is nearly the same. except if you cannot find trees, make an igloo.
The Jungle biome is different however because of the vast amount of tall trees.
If you spawn in a jungle biome, immediately use vines to get on top of a tree. Then cut down the tree from top to bottom. After, you should have roughly 30 logs. Find another tree and make a crafting table. This tree will be where your tree house will be. Make mostly wooden axes and cut down the trees in the surrounding area. Do it until its around noon minecraft time. Depending on how much wood you collected, make walls for your tree house and start to mine. Get 16 cobblestone and go make a furnace, a pickaxe and an ax. Go make the frunace and make charcoal. While the charcoal is being made, look for animals for food. This will make surviving a lot easier. if you find food, go cut down more trees until night, then go back to your tree house and make torches. Cover your tree with torches and wait out the night!
Additions: Make Sure you kill spiders at night to make the fishing rod. Since the minecraft player can go roughly 1.5 minecraft days without food, that will give plenty of time to kill spiders!
These are my ways to survive the first night in minecraft. Comment if I should make any changes or add more. Thanks!

I would also like to add that if any disagrees about any part of this tutorial, please express your discomfort in the comments. Also please tell a reason why, saying " That sucks" or "That doesn't work" is not convenient for me to change the tutorial. Be specific!

I like this a lot but there is only one problem. You can't start fishing until you make a fishing rod which requires string. You skipped the step where you need to kill spiders, but other than that great job :)
