Gold is a rare resource. It should generally be used only for picks, powered rails, axes, and shovels. NO SWORDS OR ARMOR. Armor sucks and breaks fast. Lots of retarded people don't know this: GOLD SWORDS ARE WEAK; THEY DO THE SAME DAMAGE AS WOOD SWORDS. Gold tools break items twice as fast as wooden tools, but mine faster than diamond tools, so they are good if you are rich. One last thing, gold picks, like wood picks, can only mine cobble and coal.
