Individual Magic mod idea

Lately I've been wanting to play some sort of magic mod, but none of
them were the kind I wanted, so I just decided to write up the mod I had
in mind.

Backstory: The people of the known minecraft
world were born with the gift of magic, and over the ages grew powerful.
Eventually they grew powerful enough to break their pact with the
Nether Races, whom they fought with long ago, and the Overworlders
utterly destroyed them. At the time little was known about the Nether,
and they didn't know that the Races there protected the other realms
from the Beings from Beneath. The Nether Races' destruction released and
awakened the Beings, and attacked the Overworld. A great war commenced
with destruction and loss on both sides. The magicians of the Overworld
were reduced to one small town, and only one Being survived and fled to
the Nether. This Being was the most powerful, but needed to heal from
severe injuries, and vowed to return and destroy the people of the
Overworld.

Modern times: You are one of the Overworlders,
and they are preparing for the worst to come. The earth is shaking, and
creatures that haven't been seen since the wars long ago have returned.
He is coming.

So, that's the story. Now on to the mod.
There are many types of magic, each player gets one randomly when the
minecraft world is created.

Depending on how many time you have
used your magic, you gain more energy to use. The energy bar would above
your xp bar in game would indicate this. Using your magic takes from
that energy, and to use another spell you must wait for the right amount
to generate, if your spell energy requirement is above your energy
level, it takes from your health. Your full health is worth the same as
your energy bar.

-Stronger physical abilities: faster running, higher jumping, stronger hits, and better night vision.


-Brewing: if yo ave this magic you:brew stronger, longer, and a much
wider range of potions. Also, you can combine potion effects.

-Teleportation,
with this you hold a key, and look where you want to teleport. then
press another key when your ready. You are only able to tp so far
depending on your level and experience, so be careful


-Flight: you can fly! Distances and flight time depend on energy and
experience, falling doesn't count as air time. Stopping after a fall
would take more energy then normal flying.

-Enchanter: with a
spell you can enchant items you hold, also a chance that items you craft
are enchanted. Higher level, higher enchantment

-Summoner: you can bring forth mob friends and fighters.


-Great archer, you have the knowledge to craft a powerful bow, you can
see farther when shooting bows, and your arrows home in a bit.


Champion, your fighting skills are upped, resistance, more health and
swords you hold gain sharpness(lose it when they're not being held)


Healer, your healing potions have greater effect, with regeneration, saturation, and absorption.





Elements, Fire, Plant life, Wind, and Water. With each you can go down a path relative to your base element , eg. you
are
water, you turn to Snow once your the right level, but you must be in a
snowy environment. From there on to Ice. Or you could specialize in
Water magic, not choosing to go down another path.

Element details: Water Moves


Steam: press a set key to use this, particles cover the air.
Water running: exactly the name.
Water blast: a jet of water shoots out.
(Higher level move) Water shield: water particles surround you, protecting you from harm.

Fire Moves

Fire blast: jet of fire shoots out when you press the key, press again to stop.
Lava running:in the name, but running on it hurts a bit, and if you stop you sink.
Hot
fingers: any sword iron sword you hold does extra damage. Any wood
sword you hold has fire aspect, but will ware much faster.
(Advanced move) Lava wall, heats up the ground, then shoots a lava wall in front of you


Plant life


Entangle, leaf blocks surround the target mob
Photosynthesis, you heal when you are in a forest, slowly.
Thorns, the ground at your feet becomes painful for anyone but you to step on
(Advanced move) Tree smash, bend trees down hard on target mob.
(Advanced move) Green friend, bring a tree to life that will follow you, and fight for you.


Wind stuff

Tornado, creates a tornado.
Air shot, a deadly strong gust of air.
Gliding, like flying, you just can't propel yourself upwards.
(Advanced) Pressure, in a radius around you, all mobs get super slowness. When advanced this gets lethal.




Then there is the Being from Beneath, a powerful mob that after a few
minecraft weeks, (with an earthquake and lightning) him and his soldiers
return to the Overworld. They appear at a random location, and advance
towards the town.

I forgot to write about the town. When you
create a world, you spawn in a town, surrounded with walls and bustling
with other magician mobs, (their not as powerful as you).


That's all that I had time for.

Please, if you have the skill, time, and drive to code this as a mod, please do. Do not work half way through it and dump it.

(before you criticize, keep in mind this is my first post and I got bored of it :/ )
