Hello Fellow PMCers! For many weeks I have been planning a series of interviews with the wonderful people that keep this community safe and friendly! I'm talking about the wonderful Moderators and Admins of PMC. The first moderator I am going to interview in this series is a chat moderator. He level 37 Artisan Pixel Puncher, otherwise known as Supershadowdan12!
How did you find PMC and why did you join?
My exact reason of joining pmc is lost in the past. It was quite some time ago, so my reasoning slipped my mind. However, I believe that, around the time, I was likely looking for adventure maps, texture maps, or something (obviously) minecraft related. i also did use to build frequently, and this site appealed* to me. I then created my account.
Who is your role model on PMC?
Role models? I never really thought of any one member in that way. I suppose the people I look up to are those with a particular flare for what they do. Anyone who puts extensive amounts of effort and time into a creation. That, is a thing I enjoy seeing.
Which type of submission(project, texture pack, etc.) is your favorite to make and which one of your submissions is your favorite?
I was a blogger. Was. Nowadays, I'm never really on minecraft, nor have I posted anything. I enjoyed blogging for one thing. Story writing. At the time, I enjoyed it, and, apparently, so did other people. I cannot pick a favorite, really, because its all past work. I don't particularly enjoy what I did back then. If pressed to choose? Perhaps herobrines life. Shame I never had the capacity to continue it.
What's it like to be a moderator?
Moderating is fun. Its nice to be able to keep some level of order. Feels as if I am returning something back to the site. Also, the community is nice, and so I feel rewarded in the fact that I can help them in some way.
Would you like to be a higher ranked moderator?
Perhaps. I've never really thought about it. Would be nice to be able to assist more on site.
How much do you play minecraft?
Nowadays, barely. I used to play it fairly often. But, I got bored of it. Eventually I returned to it, to help on a friends server. Kept it up for a month or so, but my interest wandered. I'll eventually attempt to return to it, but for now, I'm generally not on it.
Do you get a lot of hate? Can you share an example with me?
I haven't got any hate mail so, no.
What other games do you play?
To give a short answer? Many. It depends how I feel on a day, but I have a steam library of around 90 games. I generally play on various shooters, such as modern warfare 2, team fortress 2, planetside 2. Garry's mod I enjoy a lot, as well as many other half life 2 mods. (Half life 2 is my favorite game).
Why did you leave PMC?
I suppose I lost interest. I stopped posting, and never really went on chat. I had recently moved, so my mind was on many other things. But, I decided (a few weeks ago), to return. I missed the place, in all honesty. Made several friends, and wanted to make more. I returned to moderating, and I dont regret it in the slightest.
Is the cake a lie?
If you're chell? Yes. Yes, it is a lie.
