Has minecraft become to advanced? This question has been pondered upon by many old gamers of minecraft, who appreciate minecraft for it's old fashioned, simple survival factors. And then there are newer players who see Minecraft has a fresh new survival game, seperating itself from less creative-driven survival games, like Rust and DayZ. So who's right? Well, has always, nobody is right. This is completely opinion based. But I can certainly give my opinion.
The fact that many command block tutorials are so cool and advanced that titles commonly say "_____ Tutorial! [NO MODS]" is a clear pointer that Minecraft may be a little to much like a bunch of mods. Video cameras? Replays? Epic still action-scenes? 100x100 circular nether portals? All of this is possible. Some hardened redstoners would call all of that child's play, in fact. And if you heard all that, you wouldn't think survival game. So minecraft is just a little too advanced, if that. Right?
Right?
No. And the simple reason I say that boils down to one thing: Minecraft isn't a survival game. It is a game based around creativity, whether in creative mode or survival mode. You can build mansions without cheats in survival mode, and if you think about it, that isn't survival. That's living in the lap of luxury. Maybe for the first few nights, Minecraft is survival, but it is so unrealistic and easy to survive that it really isn't a survival game. So why shouldn't Mojang implement things like Command blocks?
Why shouldn't we have furniture? Why not new decorative blocks? Using stairs has chairs? That's not survival. It's a limitation of our creativity. All of this stuff would expand creativity, which at the end of the day is expanding what Minecraft truly is. I think it's time everybody realizes Minecraft is a creative-driven game, and we should embrace things to make the game more creative. And if you want a true survival experience, I'm sorry to tell you Minecraft isn't what your looking for.

Thanks for reading! Until next time,

Well put. And, of course, if you're new to the game, you have to be creative to survive. :-)

Besides, if command blocks are too advanced for you, all you have to do is not use them.
