Is Planet Minecraft and the Minecraft community still creative?
I'm going to go through all the sections and talk about how they are now and how they were before
Projects:
BEFORE: Creative! Custom maps, castles, cities, and all that cool stuff! Not a single thing was the same!
NOW: One word to describe it: Modern houses. Wait that's two.... I'll think of a one word one.... eventually. BUT! Half of the section is modern houses! And when it isn't that, it's a map that gives no info, no pictures, and just no fun.
Skins:
BEFORE: Not a single skin was the same! Link, Mario, Zombies, Monsters, Steam Punk Things, and everything else!
NOW: All I can say is: teen skins have taken over.
Texture Packs:
BEFORE: All kinds of packs! video game based ones,RPG ones, and anything else imaginable!
NOW: This section is still decent. It's still pretty creative however there are more simplistic packs than anything else.
Servers:
BEFORE: Mainly survival building ones. There were also some minigame and faction ones but they were rare.
NOW: Basically all factions. Every once in a while there is a minigame server and extremely rarely I'll find a whitelisted creative thing.
Mods:
BEFORE: I've never really checked out this section too much but sometimes I'd look for certain mods and they seemed pretty cool! Zelda, Halo, Mario, DayZ, MineZ, Call of Duty, and classic Minecraft and EVERYTHING!
NOW: Again I don't look to often in here but now I see a lot of Call of Duty. I don't really like Call of Duty so I'm really not a huge fan of the mods either.
Blogs:
BEFORE: It included lot's of different topics like rants, opinions, stories, articles, and more stuff that I'm too lazy to write!
NOW: Basically everything is the same. Rants about how Jeb is ruining Minecraft and how teen skins are horrible.
Well that's it for all of the main sections. There are still forums and stuff though. Now I'm gonna go over them! I will do this differently though. I will just say what it is now.
Contests:
There are a ton of skin contests. There ware no blog contests, no texture pack contests, and very little project ones.
I'm skipping Members and going right to the forums.
Forum:
A lot of spam and junk. I'm constantly seeing "free minecraft alts 100 persent legit" and also "omg my thing is broken" and other stuff like that.
Live TV
Live TV is very.... ummm... it's really... I've actually never looked at this section.... NEXT!
Chat:
I see way too much "look at my new faction servr" and "i made a new cool teen skin" and it really annoys me. I'm not sure if that's allowed but it still is annoying.
Store:
I have never even noticed this section before. And since I only just saw it I never looked in it. I'm not sure what's there but it's probably just T-shirts and maybe toys and stuff.
Rules:
Clearly these are the rules. There's nothing wrong with them.

You can place and break blocks. As long it is possible, Minecraft is creative.
People don't become less creative.
It is people who join who are not creative. :)
