The Sun's Fears
Chapter One
"I dare you!" exclaimed Harry.
"What," said Sunshine, "you really expect me to do that?"
She thought about that for a second, she didn't want to show her weakness.
"Alone, I mean," she said after she decided it was a good idea to say that.
"Sun has a valid point," said Lilliana, "are you not thinking of how dangerous that is, Harry?"
Sunshine Katilo, that's her name. She is the sweetest person you'd ever meet on the inside, but she acts tough to protect her fragile feelings and thoughts.
Lilliana Navy and is known for having an extremely difficult personality. She has had a dark past when they first met. She had accidentally, as she claimed, thrown scissors at Sunshine and had cut up Harry's homework. She may, as the school thinks, be the most violent 7th grader, but her friends understand her better than anyone.
Harry Smith, that's him for sure. He's smart and strange, a nerd, if you will. He has never gotten anything below a B plus, but then again, he's never gotten a B plus before. Harry is defiantly the most socially awkward person you'd ever meet.
They're all thirteen and have been best friends ever since second grade. They are inseparable, and have gone through everything with each other.
They were sitting in the basement of Sunshines's house- 7473 Darklight Lane. Each of them were sitting in a bean bag in front of the T.V. with the couch behind them. Next to the couch were two small tables, each with a lamp on them and the right table with a clock on it. The lighting was dim and the curtains were shut and the clock on the small table was giving off a minimal amount of light.
"Yeah of course I was," said Harry with a challenging smile, "Sunshine's always telling us about how tough she is and this is her chance to prove it to us, to the school."
"Oh Harry," Sunshine sighed, "Do you always have to be so annoying?"
"The fact that you find me annoying flatters me." He said.
"I'm sorry, what?" Lilliana gave him a confused look.
"The fact that you have your own opinion about me," he started, "the fact that you think of me?"
"Okay," said Lilliana, "Now you're just confusing me."
"Well you know how-" he began but Sunshine cut him off.
"Harry, I think we're good." she assured him.
"So you taking the bet, or what?" he asked.
