Minecraft rain is a beautiful thing, especially raindrops. Every been strolling about in Minecraft and suddenly rain started dribbling from the Minecraft sky? Aside from those who live in the dessert biomes you'd have probably come across rain in Minecraft, maybe you've even taken some time to look at the raindrops themselves, individually.

Would you like to know that the raindrops in the default texture pack are wrong? Okay the ability to toggle clouds on and off which does not affect rain is fairly inaccurate in itself but I'm here to talk about shape. Below are three pictures, which one do you consider a "real" raindrop?

Okay the results from your decision will vary,
Firstly"A" is the traditional raindrop shape known and taught, also it's the one most similar to the Minecraft rain texture, actually it's the one the minecraft texture is based off, but that is wrong.
Secondly, "B" is a picture of Raindrop from My Little Pony, yes a "real" Raindrop... and more accurate than the first one in laymen's terms...
Lastly, "C" is the accurate raindrop as found by 'New Scientist' and can be proven via this diagram:

This is an Article not to entertain but to just illustrate a simple point, it is to inform and of course this is a game where logic is simply tossed out the window in most occasions, but this is also a real world issue that some people have not grasped, the raindrop shape we all know is similar to the well-known heart shape, which looks nothing like any animal's heart, because the shape it is ACTUALLY based on... is well I cannot say it in a PG-13 manor on this article so I shall not.
