Hi guys! Welcome back to me not making skins and drawing stuff instead. This time, it's for CaelChan's Nostalgia Contest! I decided that instead of just doing a skin and being done, I was going to get rid of my artist's block and do some nice little drawings.
I was thinking of different shows that I used to watch in my childhood when I was reminded of the Monster High cartoon. I was a huge fan of the show when I was around nine years old, and looking back on it I may have been a bit too obsessed. So, after some thoughtful planning, I began my drawings.
I started with this drawing of Draculaura.

I've always loved Draculaura's aesthetic, I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. It's always just caught my eye, the mixture of the pink and the dark colors is something that I never really thought I'd love as much as I do.
Next, I drew this drawing of Clawdeen.

Clawdeen was never a character that I liked as a kid, but looking at her design now I can't help but admire it. The shirt was kind of hard to get right, with the zebra pattern and all, but I managed to make it look good.
After Clawdeen, I drew Lagoona.

I also don't remember liking much about Lagoona as a kid, but I absolutely love her design. Her hair especially was fun to draw, and the scales were nice to experiment with as well.
After Lagoona was Operetta.
Operetta was one of the only physical Monster High dolls that I had as a kid, and she was my favorite one too. I never would have known what the Phantom of the Opera was if it weren't for this character.
And finally, I finish this portfolio off with Frankie.
Frankie was arguably one of my favorite characters, as I even dressed up as her for Halloween in the fourth grade. Her design isn't exactly one of my favorites, and I'm not able to remember why I like her, but I think a good finish to this gallery is her.
To sum it all up, I really had fun making the entries for this contest. Thanks to CaelChan for putting it on, and I wish good luck to every other participant.
