Chapter-17: Reunion
Pov LittleDino:
Lloyd and the others spot us almost immediately and start heading our way. Harumi and I were glad to now be back aboard the Bounty, Lloyd immediately embraces Harumi, and I embrace my friends.
“I like the new look!” I say to LittleDina and LittleDuck.
They thank me and told me about how Mini Pix made it, and show me their new weapons.
“We can return you home whenever you're ready.” Says Lloyd.
“After all the trouble it took to get here, I think it would be a waste not to stay for a short while and see what this world has to offer If you don’t mind.”
“After all we have been through, you are more than welcome to stay in our realm.” Says Harumi with a smile.
“I know a tour bus that will take you all across Ninjago.” Lloyd suggests.
“We should all go; it will be fun.” Responds Harumi.
“Great idea, sounds like fun.” I say in agreement.
Over the course of the next few days, we travel all over Ninjago. It was great fun. I was sad to have to leave but I knew there was always a way back, and I was glad to have something or someone to come back to. Harumi and Lloyd are great friends, I am really glad that we have managed to stumble upon their world. Before leaving Harumi handed me a book and a pen with ink made with traveller’s tea, she showed me a book which looked the opposite of mine. Mine was gold with a black dot on one side, the other was black with a gold dot.
“These will allow us to talk across realms.” Harumi tells me.
I grabbed the book and Lloyd opened a portal with the traveller’s tea. My friends and I left and went back to our world.
Pov ShadowCystal:
Colber Diamond and I are preparing Cocody, Nico, and GlossyGems memorials. I keep getting distracted thinking about what I should say to Diamond, about my crush. I hate that it was ruining our friendship and that I'm pushing her away out of fear of rejection. And then she looks at me.
Pov Diamond:
“Don’t think I haven’t noticed.” I say to ShadowCystal as he blushes.
“I love being your friend, and I don’t want to stop being friends with you so stop pushing me away.” I continue and notice he's shaking his head.
I pause for a moment before I continue:
“Promise me we'll stay friends and that your feelings for me won’t get in the way of our amazing friendship.”
“I promise.” He says in response.
We hugged, and then I give him a kiss on the cheek. Then we get back to work. Then a portal opens up, LittleDina LittleDuck, and LittleaDino walkthrough. We're glad to see them and greet them with hugs. Then, Harumi and a green stranger also walked through.
Pov LittleDino:
“Harumi, Lloyd? What are you guys doing here?” I ask, surprised.
“We came to pay our respects to those who lost their lives. It seemed like the least we could do.” Lloyd explains.
“Also, I know you said this belongs to me, but I can’t keep this.” Says Harumi, handing me back LittleJess’s sword.
“I have something else you might like instead, something to keep as a token of your time here.” Harumi continues.
I went to the base and crafted an enchanted diamond sword, and bring it back and give it to Harumi.
“Handmade just for you.” I say.
She thanks me, and then we attend the funeral. After the procession, everyone gathers around the three graves built for Cocody, Nico, and GlossyGems. I notice LittleDina and LittleDuck staring sorrowfully at the graves. Then, from the corner of my eye I see Harumi. She’s looking away from the graves in shame. I was about to approach her, but then I see Lloyd walking towards her. They whisper to each other in a tone too quiet for me to hear. I look up at the sky and think about Cocody, Nico, and GlossyGems seeing LittleJess again.
After a while, we decide to show Lloyd and Harumi around the city. It's my attempt to bring a bit of light to an otherwise gray day. I even give them a tour of the tower, which seems to help. It's soon time for us to say goodbye. Lloyd is ready to use the traveller's tea he brought to leave.
Pov Harumi
I look back at the strange world, and something catches my eye. I notice Lloyd is distracted.
“Little Dino.” I whisper.
“What?” Asks LittleDino.
“You showed us most of the city, but I think you forgot something important. I say, glancing at eight glowing eyes from behind a tree.
LittleDino laughs a bit as we come up with a fun trick. I sneak up behind Lloyd and start singing:
“Spider in the house sleep, sleep. Spider bit the mouse, sleep deep...”
Just as Lloyd turns around to see the ginormous spider, I finish singing:
“Don’t wake up or else, you’ll find a spider in your mouth.”
The sound of his screams is priceless. Everyone starts laughing as the rest of us know spiders were peaceful during the day.
“Not funny, Rumi.” Says Lloyd pouting.
“So, I’m guessing we can’t keep it then?” I say, fluttering my eyes.
“No!” Lloyd replies, putting his hand on my face.
The spider skitters away, and LittleDino approaches me.
“I guess this is goodbye.” I say.
“Not exactly.” Says LittleDino, waving the book in his hand.
“Yeah.” I reply giving a faint smile.
“At least this is better than losing a friend I just got.”
“Yeah, it is.”
We both smile, and I walk toward Lloyd who asks if I’m ready to go. I nod my head and hop through the portal.
Fun fact: The drawing of everyone on the boat is a remake of the one from Chapter 4. This one includes their new outfits from the story along with a change in everyone's expression.
