Hey everyone, EnderDurant here, and today I'm going to be doing something... Different! I recently found a tutorial on how to make this light up minecraft ore, and I figured I'd share it with you!
How to make:
I wasn't planning on sharing this so there aren't any pictures, at least for now.
1: Gather these supplies:
1 piece of fairly large black paper (should be fairly sturdy, I used construction paper)
Glue
coloured tissue paper (same colour as ore)
Scissors
craft/exacto knife
A small light
Yes, I am from Canada. :P2. Draw a cube pattern on the black paper. Only draw 5 sides! Make sure to use a ruler. I made mine 8 cm x 8 cm.
3. Draw a 16 x 16 grid on each square. On my 8 cm x 8 cm sides, each square on the grid would be 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm.
4. Use the grid to draw the minecraft ore texture onto the cube.
5. Use your knife to cut out the spots where the colours would be on the ore.
6. Use the knife to cut out the whole thing.
7. Glue the tissue paper onto the cube. Make sure to cover all of the gaps. I did it by cutting 5 squares of tissue paper, and glueing each onto one side of the cube, on the same side as your grid pattern.
8. Shine your light to the cube, from a few centimeters away. If the design is coloured enough, continue to the next step. If the design isn't very brightly coloured, repeat steps 7 and 8 until the colour is good.
9. Use the glue to contruct the cube, by putting the glue on the tabs, and lift the sides up, and put the tabs inside the other sides. If you can't figure out this step, look at this tutorial. How to build a cube
10. Put your light underneath, and enjoy your glowing ore! If you want any help, just comment down below!
