Originality.

A major problem in the planet minecraft community- but only because of ourselves. Most plagiarized skins are by beginners, unaware. Or they are simply using the hair from another skin. Although it's against the rules to do this, shouldn't we be a little more relaxed? I mean, how big of a deal is it that a guy is using another persons style of making legs, as long as they credit them. And for those who don't give credit, instead of raging at them to f**king give credit etc., maybe a gentle push in the right direction is better. Such as, "Hey dude, this is a nice skin But you haven't referenced somebody else's work" which is like a bibliography in a school piece or even other articles.

Anything we make will have resources, and it is rare they will be primary. I am not saying either that it is ok to copy. I'm just saying people need to let it go a bit, it's not really that important in my opinion. I mean really, how much does some pixels mean to you? There are so many skins inspired by Halucid's Yeti skin. Although people aren't directly copying, they are using his idea. What's different about changing the colour and shape of a skin to using a small part of it? It's still taking someone else's work.

I know my opinion is unlikely to be common, but I just want to say wouldn't the community be better if we complimented other people's work and gave the necessary tips, and not say anything nasty at all? Not everybody is good at skinning, or building, or even posting blogs. But at least we are trying, and as long as it's not some sort of spam skin that is a direct copy just with "red cape", "blue cape" "red/blue cape" all with solid colours.

Also I'm not perfect, and am guilty of this. I rage at people for copying, but I'm trying to change. I have made a skin with different variants, although it was due to some advice. Thanks guys, and I hope you understand my views. I just want this to be a place where minecrafters alike can discuss and share ideas with positivity.
