Everyone has seen those nice little NPC villages that randomly spawn, right? Full of majestic Squidward-impersonators, fields of wheat, and iron guardians. And on some nights, a swarm of zombies will come to attack the village. Fun, but a little bland. - Now here's my idea. In every world, in a flatland terrain (hills have been known to screw up villages), there is a chance to find a NPC town. It is a town that you as modders have already built, placed into the world. It's the exact size to fit within one chunk, so that a map could be made to see the whole town clearly. It is majestic, it's a lovely town, full of our favorite squidwards, living in prosperity. In the town hall, in the center of town, there is a chest with food, a map, and an iron sword. Within this town hall is a small pillar, one glow stone, with one glass on top. There lies a button on this glass. - Now this button is real cool, because this is the epicenter of the mod. Once this button is pressed, it will queue you for the Zombie Siege. Basically, once dusk occurs after the button is pressed, all villagers will hide in their houses and the zombie siege will begin. Hoards of zombies come in increasing sizes of waves from an aforementioned direction or directions, attempting to destroy buildings and infect villagers. On your screen is a scoreboard, saying what wave, or level, you are on, how many zombies are left, and how many villagers you have (you should start with 50). Killing all zombies in one wave will send the next wave. The map will warn you what direction they will come in, as well as show the location of every zombie within the town as a small circle. First wave may be five zombies, next may be ten. Once you get higher into the waves, giants will spawn with the zombies. The game ends when it is daytime. High scores should be kept, maybe on amount of zombies killed or highest wave reached before dawn. Game time can be lengthened by use of command blocks or with the /time command. - During the day, you can fix or improve the village, with moats of lava, stronger housing, more iron golems to assist you and the like. Zombies can break blocks if their path finding determines it to be in their way, whether if its in front of them or on top or bottom. Giants break blocks a bit faster. Zombies can break blocks as fast as a player could with their hands, unless that zombie is holding a tool like a pick or an axe. Picks should spawn on zombies often, as well as shovels and axes. They can also climb vertically, but slowly, so that players cannot have an overpowered moat or wall that the zombies cannot get out of or over. Zombies cannot enter or damage the town hall, but no villagers can hide in it either. - There should be no additional blocks or items, in the hopes that this mod could be easily played on a vanilla server as a plugin. If that's not possible, then forget about it. Players will be using the map quite a bit while navigating the town to find the zombies, so be sure that it looks good, and stamp your name there if you like. - Zombie Siege Mod. Let me know what you think of it, and how possible it is.

The "start round" Button and an inverted daylight sensor activate an AND gate that activates a counter, which will start the first day wave, a series of predetermined spawners outside. Daylight detectors deactivate the spawners and end the wave. During that time, score can be sold for building materials using command blocks. Once night falls, the button can be activated again, which, due to the counter, will activate a different series of spawners, substantially more.
