I'm starting a blog and forum post for Dalecraft and crew. They have embarked on a highly ambitious project to recreate Earth in Minecraft. They've just returned from an actual around the world trip getting first hand data and inspiration for their build. Check here for the project http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/project-terra/ and here for Dalecraft's blog on the trip http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/the-most-expensive-world-save/.

What I'm working on is getting the rest of the community involved in the project. You can help out this massive project by building your hometown, neighborhood or just the street you live on. Post your world save or MCEdit save here. Use Google Earth or your prefered mapping program to help with your build. We would prefer that you use meters as Minecraft blocks are pretty much universally assumed to be a meter cubed and it will help keep everything consistant as well.

I went to Tacoma, Washington (Ft. Lewis) for basic training back in '91. We had a nice view of Mt. Ranier at the end of the one big gun range. Nice country up that way.

I was working on my property in Minecraft for another project when Dalecraft finished traveling. I decided to expand my project to help out with Project Terra. I hope I can get all of you to help out. Anything you can add will be off great help. Thanks.
