Minecraft 1.3 is coming out on August 1st and I am going to give you the low-down on whats been changed,added and other stuff.



First of all, I know all Mod makers are waiting for the Mod API to be added to Minecraft, well heres bad news for you, The modding API WILL NOT be added to the new patch but will probably be added some time soon.



Enough bad news, lets get to some additions, first of all, a new currency has been added, the currency is called Emeralds. They are FAR rarer than Diamond and you can trade them with NPC's for various things like leather helmets and flint and steels. Also tripwires have been added as well. Many people have been waiting for this to be added and now it is!!! YOU can use them for traps and other stuff. New generate structures have been added like Jungle temples, desert castles and desert villages. Different coloured stairs have been added depending on what type of wood planks you use. A new type of gamemode has been added called Adventure mode, this pretty much deletes griefing for adventure maps. Sorry iCanHasGrief blame Jeb. You can also mine for XP. Ender chests have been added.



CHANGES: Wood planks have specific names, enchanting levels have been decreased from Level 50 to Level 30. Redstone has the power to go though stairs and slabs. The gravel texture has been changed ALOT.
