Jeb had recently keep forgetting to remove all the buggy new features that weren't meant to be implemented (Like DeadMau5 camera) but this one... It the biggest feature by accident of all time!
THE WITHER
This mob is displayed on the picture here and is believed to be a Nether-Boss mob due to it's immunity to fire. If a modded or hacked monster spawner is spawning the Wither, it could crash Java. But sometimes it doesn't.
Right now, the spawn is currently disabled, and seems to fire heads at you, and passive animals and villagers. It is unknown why for now.
Its effects on firing at you (Heads, not fireballs) is a new effect called "Wither". You health is turned black and you lose health, like the poisoned effect, it is unknown if you could die from it.
When it fires, it fires 2 heads at the same time from each of the heads on the side.
This mob have been discovered because of this skin laying around in the new snapshot:
