Recently (a few days ago) the Minecraft team released the minecraft 1.8 snapshot 14w02a. But there's something special in this snapshot. For being more specifical, the NBT tags and the command /blockdata.
The command /Blockdata; editing chests from outside
This command brings a whole new gameplay to Minecraft; now you will be able to see a lot of new blocks and editing them. Now you can edit chests content from outside. Also, maybe soon we will see a bunch of users with Notch's faces (it can be created with NBT Tags) or new blocks into the game.
NBT Tags ¿The new customization ways?
They are the most important part into this update; the NBT Tags add a whole universe of customization and mechanics into the game; like Grappling Hooks, lockpicks, XP-Bar sonars, RPG classes (most of them are visibly tested by Dragnez, search on youtube) and lot more. This brings a "mechanical-discovering phenomen" (really not a very good name haha). I think that expresion is the act of experimenting with the NBT tags and other mechanical things like position, sounds, target selectors and entities to create endless things with endless posibilities.
What do you think guys? I' am really exagerating?
