Have you been struggling surviving in the new biome called Deep Dark?
Don't worry! I've been researching in my survival world and gathered key information related to the Deep Dark and the Warden!
- How to find the biome.
- The Deep Dark generates below y level 0, meaning that players hoping to naturally find them simply need to mine down low or find a cave that runs deep to seek out the biome. Lots of deepslate is usually a good sign that you are searching in the right area for the Deep Dark biome.

- Preparations for the Deep.
- You need diamond armor. Enchanted is better. also bring a shield.
- A hoe. I'd prefer golden type with mending.
- Wool blocks to cover up shriekers and sculk sensors(Break it with a hoe if you don't have any).
- Night vision potions, torches or just plain fullbright.
- Sculk shriekers can be mined with any tool, but hoes are the quickest.
- These can "shriek" after being activated, which can happen by a player stepping on it, being hit by a projectile, or by triggering a nearby sculk sensor.
- This can be prevented from detecting sensors by placing wool blocks in between or all over it.
- The warning level is specific to each player, not each sculk shrieker, meaning that the same player can activate a different sculk shrieker for each of the 4 times.
- Only naturally generated sculk shriekers summon a warden. If a player breaks and placed it, it will no longer summons the warden.
- A very rare structure that can only be discovered in deepslate areas. Its made up of long corridors, ruins and carpets floors that prevents vibration. The city has statues and the center of the city features a big frame resembling a warden's head, which you can find an obtainable block called reinforced deepslate blocks.
- Ancient cities are more likely to generate beneath tall mountains and never occur below aquatic boimes like oceans, rivers and swamps.
- Its infested of sculk and loot that cannot be found anywhere else.

- There is also a city ice box chest in every ancient city which contains snowballs and packed ice.
- The city has a hidden basement filled with redstone circuits. Its entrance is located at big frame, underneath the wooden bridge between the city center and the wall.
- The piston door is controlled to a sculk sensor which there are ways to open it.

I don't know why but most players panics when the warden spawns next to them. Make sure you're in a crouching state and don't run. Remember that the Warden is blind, He can only sense vibrations and can distinguish smell.
- Slowly sneak away. Stay calm, He is pretty slow at sniffing.
- When walking on wool the warden cannot hear you. It is safe to walk or run on wool blocks.
- Use snowballs, sculk sensors, mobs or pistons to distract the warden away from you.
- Do not hide on enclosed boxes. The warden can still attack you through walls but if you're doing this make sure you are far enough to avoid its range attack. The range for the warden's "sonic boom" is 15 blocks horizontally and 20 blocks vertically.
- If he found you, try to slow down the warden using water or lava.
