So, I saw this contest, and I got an EPIC idea. It would be a great plug-in that could work on any kind of server. It would be a craftable Lock and Lockpick!
How It Would Work:
For those of you who play Skyrim, I was thinking along those lines. For those who haven't played it, you have a lock pick which you put in a lock. There is a hidden spot in which the lock will open. You have to turn the pick to the right spot, and open it. I can see it being just like that. You move your mouse in left or right to get the right spot. When you think you have it, you click. Depending on the difficulty of the lock, Diamond, Iron Etc. It will break on less attempts. Diamond being the least.
How It Would It Be Crafted?:
Simple. A lock would be constructed by one of three Materials. Gold, Iron, and Diamond.
Gold would be the have the biggest correct lock area, but would take 2 incorrect answers to break the lock pick. Iron would have a middle sized correct area, and would take 4 or 5 wrong picks to break the lockpick. Last, would be Diamond. It would have the smallest correct area, and would take 2 or 3 wrong picks to break the block. To craft it, you would use just the ingots nothing else. A lock would be crafted like a chest plate, but instead of two in the top corners, it would be one in the middle. The very middle diamond would also be missing (See Picture) A lock pick would only be crafted with iron ingots going all three up and down. It would create 3 picks.
How It Would Work In A Survival Server:
It could work in multiple ways. If stealing is allowed, you can make a Pick to protect your chests. If it isn't, and a plug-in is not installed to stop it, you can make locks to protect your stuff.
How It Would Work In A Faction Server:
Since most faction servers allow stealing, it would be a good way to protect your things. It would slow the process of people stealing your things, giving you a higher chance at stopping those darn raiders.
So what do you think? If its a good idea, FAVORITE IT and throw in a DIAMOND! I am looking for my first ever finalist placing. Also, what would be even better is if someone actually made this a mod. I think it would be a hit!
