Introduction:

*Note NuclearBananao s words have not been touched by smanrt

Today Io m going to talk to you about a topic that most bloggers dono t talk about. Modding, more specifically does minecraft modding change the game for the worse?

What are Minecraft Mods:

Now I have with me today a very big modder on PMC NuclearBanana he is well, let me just say in a few word a man with a modding talent, and a creative brain. He will be here to answer some very basic but big modding questions.

This is how I see minecraft mods, minecraft mods are a way to add to a game, minecraft mods, or any mod in general adds to a game or program, which then gives more content for the user to use. For example, a mod can add more animals to the game of minecraft to making it more fun, instead of seeing the basic animals all the time.

Do Mods take away from minecraft?:

In my own perspective, modding can take away from the game, it could completely make your game easier because of all the mods installed like a commands mod, which could easily help you through minecraft survival. But it could also make the game harder for you, like make the mobs stronger.

That is just how I see it, NuclearBananao s view is similar to mine, but he stated that

o I think yes. Because no one plays survival minecraft anymore. And installing the mod gives that one extra feature that you have chosen. Like, everyone wants something in minecraft, some change or something new. And when we modders add some of those things, players focus on only that thing in-game.o -NuclearBanana

This is a good point, but lets get deeper into what he said, each player does have a o Minecrafto in their mind, each player does want something out of minecraft, like leto s say for me, I want ships in minecraft and more NPCo s.

So this brings me into my next questiono ¦

Are there different types of Mods, and do some types of mods take away from the game?

NuclearBanana gave me a very good answer for this question, he said;

o Well, yes. There are good mods, and some less good. We see mods titled "Mo' Blocks" or "Dirt to Diamond" everyday. And those mods get on the reel. Because for some odd reason, people love them. All good, and well knowned modders are trying to "replace" those bad mods. To teach those modders how to really code. They just think that watching a tutorial is gonna learn them Java. But it wont! TheBoo has a really good blog on that here. Second thing is, yes, some mods do take away from the game. The dimension mods. What do you do when you first start a world with a dimenstion mod installed? Well, spawn a portal and teleport there. No one tries to go to that dimensiong by playing in survival mode.o -NuclearBanana

This was a good point, but like he said o o ¦some mods do take away from the gameo ¦o I feel that say you add a demensions mod, like nuclearbanana said, people would only be focused on that and not on the raw minecraft game. They would be Mod Players as I like to call it.

Now you ask me, o What are mod players?o well these are the people that play minecraft get bored of it, and play minecraft with the mods only. There whole minecraft experience in not destroyed, say they add a mod that lets you build machines, they are only focused on that and not the raw minecraft.

Evolution Of Mods:

(I had to ask this for my readers, it has almost nothing to do with the blog, but iso ¦leto s sayo ¦an extra.)

o Ahhh, one of my favorite questions, but it is hard to explain. Ok..so. First early modding are in perion from the Minecraft Alpha to Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. In the beta 1.7.3, mods began to get better and better (one of the cool things was the automatic bow, you could to some awesome stuff with it). From the beta 1.7.3 till the final release 1.0, mods were good, there were still some awesome ones. The best period is from 1.0 to 1.2.5. It that period, all the big and goods mods were codded. And it was really easy to understand the code even if you weren't a modder. But the "worst" period from 1.2.5 to 1.4, because the LAN came out. And a lot methods and fixes were changed in minecraft code. It was hard to make a server mod, because you didn't knew if you were making for server or lan. It was so frustrating. But from 1.4, the modding was improving. But then the "copy-pasters" (as I call them) came to modding. They are the makers of the dirt to diamond, and moar tools, moar gems, all those shitty mods. And I hope that we are gonna learn "copy-pasters" the real modding by posting modding tutorails but withoud the source. To learn them Java, And I think that we are gonna succeed :)o -NuclearBanana

Conclusion:

Dono t let mods take over your minecraft experience, unless you want it that way.

<_< Finally got around to reading this thing and WOW! This is exactly how I feel when it comes to mods. However, I found a nice one I install every time and that is Biomes o' Plenty. Survival Mode in it is SO totally worth it.
