Minecraft PvP Advanced Tutorial ft. TCG
Hey guys, Dubzayy and ThatCobblestoneGuy here.
I am a good friend of TCG, we have been friends for a while, and are always up for a game of survival games, one in the chamber, hunger games, or something that just involves pvp. We both have been pvping for over a year, and have gained many skills and strategies in our gameplay. If pvp isn't your thing, but you want to learn, I recommend this tutorial to you. We wont be explaining the simple stuff, we will be trying our best to go into full, complete depth of how to increase your skills and capabilities.

Basics
So if you're going to want to get good at PvP your going to have to know the basics
so i'll start off with them.

Weapons
You're going to need to know alot about Weapons, here are the tools and which ones
are more affetive:
Swords do the most damage out of every tool, Next up are axes, then come pickaxes,
shovels then hoes.
Their are differnt tiers of tools the order are.
Diamond
Iron
Stone
gold/wood

Sword Damage
Each sword gives out differnt amounts of damage for example diamond swords do alot
more then stone swords, here is the info on sword damage.

Your fists .5 hearts.
wood swords do 2.5 hearts along with golden swords.
stone swords do 3 hearts.
iron swords do 3.5 hearts.
Diamond swords do 4 hearts.

Armour
Armour is a big part of PvP armour reduces damage by ALOT, but it depends what
armour you are wearing.

List of Armour Protection
Leather armour gives 3.5 armour bars
Gold armour gives you 5.5 armour bars
Chain armour gives you 6 armour bars
Iron armour gives you 7.5 armour bars
Diamond armour gives you 10 armour bars.
So obviously when PvPing you are going to want to use Diamond armour if possible.

Golden Apples
Golden apples are usally what saves you in a PvP battle, you should always eat one before going into battle against some one that out armours you, golden apples give you regeneration and absorption, regeneration is were you regen health over time and absorption is when you get 2 extra hearts that disappear once you get hit. But on the other hand there are these other golden apples usally reffered to as NOTCH APPLES or GOD APPLES these apples help alot and potentially make you un killable, Notch Apples also known as god apples give you these effects:
Regeneration V for thirty seconds, as well as Resistance and Fire Protection for five minutes. Like the other Golden Apples they also give Absorption for two minutes.


Enchantments
Enchantments Could Help you ALOT, you should try to get your hands on an enchantment table when ever possible. You're proberbly wondering WHATS ENCHANTMENTS?! well im going to tell you. Enchantments can be really good but then they can be bad! sometimes they will help you A BUNCH but sometimes they will not help you at all! so its a bit of a gamble. when enchanting with a low level (1 - 10) ALWAYS enchant with level 1, why enchant level 1? well level 1 - 10 all have the same enchantment levels so your not going to want to enchant 2 - 10. high level enchantments on the other hand (15 - 30) are very good enchantments, when enchanting on higher levels like this you are more likely to higher enchantments for example sharpness 4, fire aspect 2.

List Of Enchantments
Here is a list of enchantments that are PvP related.
Sharpness 1 - 4
Fire Aspect 1 - 2
Knockback 1 - 2
These are the enchantments you are looking for you get on your sword.
Here is a list of Bow enchantments that are PvP Related.
Power 1 - 4
Punch 1 - 2
Flame 1 - 1
Infinity 1 - 1
Your going to want to get these enchantments on your bow.
Here is a list of Armour enchantments that are PvP Related
Protection 1 - 4
Thorns 1 - 3
Projectile Protection 1 - 4
Fire Protection 1 - 4
Feather falling 1 - 4

Potions
when brewing potions you are going to want to look for a few inperticular for example, Invisible potion should not be your main priority! 

List of Potions
Here im going to be telling you guys what potions you should be brewing before battle!
Strength 1 - 2
Swiftness 1 -2
Regeneration 1 - 2
Healing 1 - 2
Fire Resistince

What Potions Do
So your wondering which potions do what?
ill start off with Strength, Strength 1 can increase melee damage by 130%, Yes 130%! thats Alot of Damage! But then theres strength 2! strength 2 increases your melee damage by 260% THATS ALOT
Next up is Swiftness, Swiftness 1 increases your speed by 20 percent it may not seem like alot but it helps a TON! Swiftness 2 on the other hand increases your speed by 40%! still may not sound like alot but once you practise speed pvp it is!
Next i will tell you about The Healing Potions! Healing 1 basically heals 2 hearts may not sound like alot but it sure helps! Healing 2 heals 4 hearts which is basically half your hearts and can save you in battles that you are out geared.
Now i'll tell you about Regeneration potions, Regeneration 1 Heal 9 hearts over time, every 2.5 seconds it heals half a heart. Rengeneration 2 potions heal 9 hearts over time, every 1.25 seconds.
Fire Resistence Gives immunity to damage from fire and lava.

How your inventory should be arranged.
This is how your inventory should be arranged.
your sword should be in your 1 slot, along with your fishing rod in your 2 slot.
you will then want your bow in your 3 slot leaving your 4 slot empty and putting
your golden apples in your 5 slot.
you will then want your food in your 6,7,8 slots and then you want a Flint and
Steel in your 9 slot.

Critical Hits
Critical Hits could help you tremendously, Critical Hit could double the amount of damage your sword does, for example a diamond sword could do 8 hearts YES, 8 HEARTS! Critical hits could be useful when you are sneaking up on an oppoent or even when you want to get in that extra damage every once in a while.

Block Hitting
Block hitting is basically when you spam left and right click that the same time, this allows you to take half a heart less damage from each hit, you are proberbly thinking only HALF A HEART?! yes only half a heart, and at the end of the fight it can end up blocking 3 hearts worth of damage! This could be used in a tight space, cave ravine etc. or it can be used in a situation where you are out geared.

The Bow
Here is some infomation on how to increase your skill with a bow.
First i will tell you the damage that a bow can deal, When a bow is fully charged
it can deal 4.5 hearts and rarly 5 hearts, when a bow is charged medium it will
deal 3 hearts. When the bow is charged very small it will deal 0.5.

Long Shots
When attempting long shots with a bow you're going to want to look up a bit higher,
once your looking a bit high LET IT RIP! make sure you do not go too high when
shooting or you will be wasting your arrows!


Before Entering a Fight!
so before entering a fight you are going to want to anylize your opponent, simply
by memorizing the armour protection and seeing how much armour bars they have compared to yours, this
will basically tell you if your going to have an intense fight or an easy fight.
Before you enter the fight your also going to want to place a flint and steel in
front of the player you are fighting, this will set them on fire therefore making
them take extra damage.
After you place your fire you are going to want to fishing rod your opponent, this
knocks your opponent back therefore making it easier for you to combo them.
You are also going to want to eat a golden apple which gives you 2 extra
absorbtions hearts and could help you alot.

Tactics in battle
So once your in battle you are going to want to hold down your sprint key, holding
down your sprint key allows you to knock others furthur away from you allowing you
to get bigger combos this is more affective then double tapping W.
You are also going to want to strafe, strafing is when you move side to side not
allowing your opponent to hit you. These 2 strategies help alot and will increase
your PvP skills Amazingly.

Taking Down Teams
To fight teams you are going to want to use your flint and steel as MUCH as you
can.
You are going to want to try to split the team up, you could acclompish this by
running past other players and running in wierd areas.

Can't Do any of these Tactics Right?
PRACTISE! as they say Practise makes perfect, if you want to get very good with PvP
go on a kitpvp server and practise, Many people do this and i have seen it help
people amazingly.
