Shulkers, as we know, are snipers spawning naturally in End cities located in the End, serving as guardians of its treasures. The question of the day: even though we have a brief idea of the Ender Dragon’s origins, we still have no clue where the shulkers actually came from, even though there HAVE been quite a few theories concerning their origins (You know what I’m talkin’ about).
As some of you might know, the shulker’s official entity name is actually "EndGolem", and not “shulker”. This suggests that shulkers may actually have been artificially created, as the term “golem” refers to “a figure or statue brought to life via magical means”, just like Iron Golems and Snowmen. Okay, so we’ve figured out what sort of creatures shulkers actually are. However, who could have brought the shulkers to life?
Well, for one, whoever created the shulkers should probably also have been the ones who constructed the End cities, and should possess quite a bit of knowledge about magic.
The most plausible candidate, obviously, is the Endermen inhabiting the End. For starters, they’re quite civilized as they
PLUS, they’re also the only creatures in MC who have the ability to travel to the End without a portal and also the only ones who can teleport to reach the End’s outer islands, where the cities were constructed. On the other hand, considering that they CANNOT LIFT STONES, ROCKS AND RELATED BLOCKS, how could they have constructed the End cities which are primarily composed of End stone and bricks? Then again, since Endermen possess the ability to summon both Iron and Snow Golems, it’s quite reasonable to say that they might also have the ability to bring the shulkers to life.

- Will cause falling blocks to solidify upon landing on them.
