DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A THEORY, NOT AN INFORMATIVE ARTICLE. THE THINGS STATED IN THIS ARTICLE ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED, NOR ARE THEY TO BE HATE BOMBED (unless you're into that kinda stuff, then, go ahead).
OH CRAP OKAY. so something happened and the site completely glitched up, so this article that was supposed to be a new article just replaced my old theory about sand. So now everywhere on the site it's shown as one thing, but on the actual page, it's the real thing. I apologize if you were brought here by accident, not my fault I think.
"Mr. Tuba, you're crazy! I mean, the Minecraft world is 7.059 times the size of earth, but the universe is quadrillions of septillions of decillions times bigger, and constantly growing at a rate faster than the speed of light! There's no way Minecraft's world is bigger than our universe!" Wrong. Very, very wrong. People seem to forget that this comparison of Minecraft's world size to erth's size doesn't take into account the depth of the world, it only measures the surface. So, that doesn't make that big of a difference, right? Wrong again. You forgot that the void is part of this "flat" planet as well. So...how deep is the void? It's infinite. "But Mr. Tuba, the void has to end at some point! You die so quickly, how do you know that it doesn't end right there?" We know because we can use commands to make us immune to the void. If you give yourself regeneration × 255, you will not die, no matter how far down you fall into the void. Eventually, your computer will crash, but if we use extremely powerful computers, you'll still see the void goes so far down it's pretty much endless. So, let's redo this equation. The Minecraft world is 60,000,000 × 60,000,000 blocks in terms of surface area. In terms of depth, the Minecraft world is ∞ blocks deep. If we multiply all of those numbers together, the Minecraft world is approximately ∞ cubic meters big (lol). The universe will NEVER get to that size, no matter how fast it grows. Therefore, the planet of Minecraft is and will always be bigger than the universe. Thanks for reading.

Idk, just an idea :P
I'm srsly bad with names.
I also have a question about your theory. Once placed over a block, the sand cannot fall (Because it's a block). But if there's a block like a torch or sign, since the game pictures it as a full block (Even though the hitbox isn't as big as one, so you can go through it), it won't fall. Can you explain this?
XD lmao
