People are always complaining about minecrafts graphics. When the graphics aren't what people expect, people are less inclined to play a game. Guess you might have noticed that I keep centring my points around the graphics of the game. To most people, the game is based on 16x16 squares that are put together into cubes that make up a world in which to play in. It Actually isn't that simple. Ever notice how everything looks darker the farther you move from a light source? Actually, it's the blocks themselves that are getting darker. The brightness on your screen never changes, just the degree of shading on the block. This isn't that hard to do but it goes to show that the 16x16 blocks we all know are a lot more complex than you might think. This concept of progressively darker shading even applies to mobs. So a pig for instance, will actually have darker skin if its away from a light source!
