One of minecraft's biggest problems is with all the hackers. Having a system like VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat System), would pretty much fix this problem.
Clients would have to send their client data to servers, and the servers will check if they have any cheats.
If servers sense cheats, it can automatically ban the user from the server, or send a warning
to server administrators.
Mods that aren't for cheating, for example optifine, won't trigger the system, so there wouldn't be any problems with accidental bans for having a mod.
People who would try to bypass it, like making their client not send data to the server, wouldn't be allowed to join.
This system would help servers immensely, as server administrators are trying to find ways of preventing hacks that are still sometimes unable to be blocked.
