Last we left off, IGEBM, Chaos, Pig, and Ella, better known as the Soda Strike Team or Strike Unit 721, were sent on a mission to the Forge to aid Forgemaster Chaos, Shadow, Trot, Rakkitatoru, and the Apprentices in ridding the island of rampaging zoglins. During the formulation of a plan, Si called IGEBM to tell him that the cruise ship he was on was being attacked by piglins. The group split up, with IGE, Shadow, Whisper, Chaos, and Tem going to help the cruise ship and everyone onboard by teleporting them to the Cholan Empire and the remaining people leading the zoglins into an end crystal pit, where they were all killed. The Strike Team said their goodbyes after everyone returned to the Forge, and General Axo tasked the team with going to Morbid Island on a mission. Meanwhile, in the Nether...
A piglin soldier enters the throne room of Castle Hellfire. "I have good news and bad news." he says to King Noncommercial. "The bad news is that Operation: Zoglin Forge was a failure. The good news is that Operation: Morbid Island is currently in progress. Your troops are battling the people of Morbid Island, and the Crimson Butchers are en route to the island." "Excellent." the king says. "Now, I must go. I have to meet with Dr. Goldeye." He gets up and walks out of the room. He meets up with Dr. Goldeye in the laboratory tower of the castle. "I have something to show you." the one-eyed mad scientist says with glee. "Is it the new eye?" Noncommcerical points to the doctor's left eye, which is actually a golden eye meant to replace the one he lost in an explosion caused by an experiment. It can't actually see, but it looks good. "No." he says. "But thank you for noticing." He leads Noncommercial to his balcony, where a transport ghast is waiting for them. The two hop onto the massive beast and Dr. Goldeye unties it from the the railing of the balcony. He pilots the ghast to the slave camp, where they land. The two get off. "As you can see, we've begun construction of Project: Nether King." Dr. Goldeye says as he leads his king through the construction portion of the slave camp. "The slaves are surprisingly skilled builders, especially when under the threat of execution." He leads Noncommercial to the R&D lab, and shows him a map of the End on the table. "We've also found a possible power source for the project in the End. We think you should send in the Crimson Butchers to secure the portal once they finish up on Morbid Island." "I agree." King Noncommercial says. "Now, let us return to the castle."
In the Overworld, the Soda Strike Team are a few miles away from Morbid Island. It had been about 5 hours since they made their departure from the Forge, and they would've been there sooner had it not been raining for the last few hours. "Are we there yet?" Pig asks. "Almost." Ella says, checking the map on the screen in the captain's cabin. "IGE, how's the fishing?" Chaos asks. "Good." IGE responds. "I've been catching a lot of fish. We could cook some once we finish up on Morbid Island. You excited to be back there?" "Yeah." Chaos says. "Guts is staying there for a few days, and Firestar's been in charge while I was gone." He checks the clock on the wall. "It's 9:32. I'm gonna rest for a bit." "Me too." Pig says. He follows Chaos to the bunks, and the two go to sleep. IGE joins them, and Ella stays up to keep watch.
About 30 minutes later, they arrive at Morbid Island. Ella steers them into the harbor as the others wake up. Chaos is the first to notice the piglins standing guard at the port. They're asleep, but he doesn't want to wake them up. "Guys, stay quiet." he warns the group. They draw their rifles and crawl across the pier and into the bushes of Morbid Island. In the distance, they hear swords clashing and rifle shots being fired. "It's coming from the town." Ella whispers. "Let's join them."
The Soda Strike Team sneaks into the town, where they spot several piglins overwhelming Fear Priest Aspirin. IGE fires his rifle at one of the piglins, shoots the other three with light blasts. "What do you know, it's the Soda Strike Team!" Aspirin cheers. "Thanks for the save, IGE." "Always happy to help a fellow Fear Priest." IGE responds. "DarkRob could use some help too." Aspirin says as he points to Fear Priest DarkRob, who is currently being cornered against the wall of a house by several piglin soldiers. "Chaos, care to help him?" IGE suggests. "On it!" Chaos responds. He runs over to DarkRob and pulls out his electro-machete, turning it on and waving it across the necks of the soldiers, cutting off their heads all in a row. Their bodies fall to the ground. "Thanks, comrade." DarkRob says. "Where's Guts?" "He's in a cave." Ghostly says, appearing behind the Aspect of Horror after exiting ghost form. "He's not fighting." "Understood." Chaos says. They spot Aspirin using his Horror Toad powers to raise two different kinds of undead warriors: skeleton soldiers and zombie toads. The skeleton soldiers fire their AK-47s at the piglins, who respond by shooting their crossbows. Meanwhile, the toads leap towards the preoccupied piglin gunners, infecting with a zombification disease. The zombified piglin soldiers turn to the normal piglins and start to fight them as the skeletons drop dead on the ground, after being shot several times by arrows.
The battle continued for the next few minutes with both sides being an equal match against each other. However, the Cryptic Family Military was winning because of their advantage of having necromancers on their side. They were able to reanimate the corpses of the piglins and turn them against the Nether Empire soldiers. Unfortunately for the Cryptic Family, the Crimson Butchers had just arrived. They're the best soldiers in the Nether Army, led by Sgt. Porkus, who had never lost a battle, in the Nether or in the Overworld.
"Oh shoot." Ghostly says as he sees Porkus and the Butchers walk into the town. "Alright, you weak little piglins, we've got this!" Porkus shouts in an angry voice. "What is it?" Chaos asks Ghostly. "That's Sgt. Porkus and the Crimson Butchers." the half-spirit Fear Priest responds. "They're the strongest soldiers in the Nether Army. Sgt. Porkus, their leader, has never lost a battle, in any dimension." Chaos, Ghostly, and DarkRob hide behind some crates as one of the Butchers, Private Hoghead, walks by. On his back are a pair of massive golden axes. "We're doomed." DarkRob says. "But I have an idea." He uses his portal-making abilities to open a portal below him. Another one opens above Hoghead, and he drops onto the powerful piglin warrior. "Nice try." Hoghead grunts before throwing DarkRob into a wall. The Fear Priest falls onto the ground, and he is hand-cuffed by Hoghead. The cuffs inhibit his portal abilities, but Ghostly phases through a wall and appears behind Ella and Pig, who are hiding in a bush. He tells them about the Butchers, and spots Aspirin doing the same to IGEBM behind a house.
Ghostly signals to Aspirin and IGE for them to meet up further away. "Wait." Pig says. "I'll stay behind to help Chaos. We'll probably get captured, but he needs some backup." The PMC Military soldier takes a pair of grenades off of his bandolier, pulls their pins, and then throws them out of the bushes, using the explosion as cover and a distraction to run to Chaos. He makes it without being seen, and tells Chaos they're going to fight the Crimson Butchers. "Got it." Chaos says. He draws his rifle and fires a few shots as he runs out from the behind the crates between houses. Pig does the same. "Fools." Sgt. Porkus says. He pulls out his weapon, a massive golden mace with netherite spikes, and swings it at the two soldiers. That's the last IGE and his group see before he teleports them to Mt. Aranaktu.
On Mt. Aranaktu, a now-dormant volcano, Ghostly and Aspirin lead IGE and Ella to a cave where them, DarkRob, and Firestar used to go to to hang out when the Family was just starting out. When the volcano erupted, they stopped returning to it. "Speaking of which, where is Firestar?" IGE asks. "He wasn't at the battle." "The reason we took you guys here was because he's hiding out here." Aspirin says. "Firestar left the battle a few minutes before you all arrived and came up here to try and convince Guts to join the fight. "Hey guys!" Firestar says. Deeper in the cave, they see him waving at them. "Me and Guts are deeper in the cave, in another cavern closer to the center of the volcano." He lights the way with fire from his hand.
Firestar leads the group to a cave deeper in the volcano, where they find Guts. "Guts!" IGE says at the sight of the former Aspect of Horror. "Where have you been? Once you left Morbid Island, you disappeared." "Well, I was worried PMC City wouldn't accept me, so I lived in the Ancient City under the city." Guts explains. "Once I left the island, I met up with Captain Clay, who smuggled me into the city. His crew kept me hidden and led me to the sewers, where I was able to find a tunnel to the Ancient City." "Ah." IGE comments. "So, Guts, the thing we're all wondering is: will you fight with us?" Aspirin asks. "It pains me to say this, but no." Guts responds. "NO?!" Ghostly says in anger. "Right now, the Crimson Butchers are beating up our military! They're beating up your friends, Chaos and Pig! You're just gonna let that happen?!" "I've taken an oath not fight!" Guts retorts. "I don't care if there's a war, I'm not fighting! I've done some horrible things in my past, and this is my way of atoning for my sins! Now, get the hell out of here!"
Knowing they can't convince Guts to help them, the group leaves and goes down the trail to return to the village and attempt to fight the piglins. "Oh, look, the others are back!" Chaos cheers. He is chained to a wall, imprisoned between DarkRob and Pig. "Any luck?" "He's taken an oath not fight." Ghostly responds. He dodges a crossbow shot from a piglin soldier. Fungar, the Crimson Butchers' resident fungus thrower, throws some blast fungus at the group, but IGE blasts the explosive mushrooms before they can hit the ground with his light blasts. Ella throws several grenades, Ghostly enters ghost form to sneak up on Hoghead, Aspirin summons a horde of skeleton soldiers, and IGE creates a pair of light swords with his magic powers. The group try to fight off the Crimson Butchers, but ultimately end up chained up like Chaos, Pig, DarkRob, and the rest of the Cryptic Family MIlitary.
Guts, meanwhile, has decided to exit the cave and take a look at the situation from afar using his spyglass. "I knew it would come down to this." he says to himself. "I don't want to do this, but I have to. Ghostly's right. Those people down there are my friends, and they deserve to be saved." He walks back into the cave and picks up the Cryptic Morbid. "Time for the Creator to summon some old friends." He begins to quickly read through the stories he's written, and slowly, monsters start to appear around him.

EARLY ACCESS
I used a random number generator (the number list will be included below) to determine who would get early access to the story. I generated 3 different numbers between 1 and 9, with the plan being for the last one that was generated to be the person who gets early access, and on the third generation, I got 5, which was Aspirin60, so I PMed him the story on 3-12 and he got to read it 2 days early. I'm gonna do this for every story, if I complete it at least 2 days before the usual release date of the coming Tuesday.
