I discontinued the mobs36 map, but now I just use the title for any mob ideas/commands.

This one is named the helichorus.



Above is the model for it. I made an animation of it, which has the downside swinging, the wings swinging too, and the head (inside) rapidly spinning.

If someone can tell how to texture in blender (again), it would help. Speaking of textures, I want it to have a chorus skin texture for the wings and head, and a light purple dotted one for the underside of those and also for the jingling downside protrusion. On the end it would have a mouth texture.

Enough with the technical stuff. The helichorus (combo helicopter + chorus) arises from, you guessed it, chorus fruit. Like endermites, teleporting with chorus fruit has a chance of leaving a helichorus behind.

Helichori have a super long detect distance horizontally, but a super short one on the y axis. Once they spot you, they glide toward you (kind of like phantoms, but they return to a lower level, and return to where you ate the chorus fruit).

The helichorus stays low, but once it reaches a player, it floats up high. Then it air-tumbles down and swings its downside, biting the player and dealing 6 half-hearts of damage, and also teleporting the player randomly. They themselves have 6 full hearts.

Helichori will fly above blocks and can sense through walls. They smash through chorus plants, spawning allies. When attacked or done attacking, they will return to the spot where the enemy first ate the chorus fruit that it spawned from. In there they build a new chorus plant if there is end stone.

Once killed, the helichorus will drop the common ender pearl, and a rare drop as the chorus blade.

The chorus blade would be a ranged weapon thrown, not launched. The blade would glide and spin, teleporting any mob it hits randomly, and also dealing damage.

Maybe I can make this in a mod, but I first want to texture it. Hope you enjoyed the concept!
