Hello PMC! Wolfren here!
So there is the well-known subject of modding Minecraft. It is in fact the most modded game currently released, and these mods can either make Minecraft better or worse, depending on how you look on it.
Pros:
1. Add new, exciting features
2. Make the game harder or easier for varying users
3. Add aesthetic functions to improve visuals
4. Change behaviours and functions to enhance user experience
5. Add features from fandoms
6. Customize worlds to user preferences
7. Add further interest to exploration
8. ETC.
Cons:
1. Make updates a pain
2. Mods sometimes conflict and crash the game
3. You lose Mojang support for crashes
4. Can elicit cheating on servers
5. Extend the launch sequence time
6. Less texture pack support
7. Lag on weaker computers
8. ETC.
So as I labled, mods are good and bad. It depends on the user, the mod, the hardware, and the intentions behind them. I personally like using mods within bounds of reason, since my laptop isn't the greatest. Some are against mods, though, labling all of them as "hacks" or "cheats" when they have little or nothing to do with giving unfair advantages.
Anyway, that's all for now! Wolfren out!
