Fish perhaps? They swim around, different colours and you can make a glass tank and when you fish they get attracted to it and eat the bait you have to put on the rods and if they are out of water they start to die!
Fish: Blue, green, yellow and red, different shapes.
Tank: Made like a cauldron out of glass with a water bucket in the middle.
Bait: Worms or other fish, worms attract fish more and only fish that attack you go to the fish.
And birds! It helps you jump so you can just get a bird and it will sit on your shoulder and when you jump it makes you fly and then glide down, depending on the size of the bird.
Bird: Blue, red, orange and a parrot! only found in jungles.
Shoulder pad: Wears like a chest plate and you can combine it with armor to still have the chestplate protection, it browny hazel colour and its on your shoulder so when you pick up a bird it doesn't attack you, made like a leather helmet with a piece of gold between the bottom pieces! Can tame the birds with seeds or better yet, pumpkin seeds.
Tomatoes should be added, and you can make tomato soup, healing 3! And bananas in the jungle, you can put then down and get a knife (like an iron sword without one iron) and chop it so it heals more :P
