Well i have been watching minecraft for months and playing classic for months. Then one January 2012 it
happened. I got Minecraft!! Since then minecraft has been my favorite game. I like to play it LEGIT. No mods. in the vanilla. I also go on servers alot. although now i can't update to 1.2 and can never get the full experiance.
My guess in the version file was deleted so minecraft can't update but anyway thanks for reading my introduction. and i hope to get my little problem fixed. Goodbye

I finally have fixed my problem and have updated to minecraft version 1.2.4

See my computer had a shutdown and deleted all files.
Then when it had recovered. Minecraft wouldnt update. I also couldnt use any of my old worlds.
It took a while to figure it out but i finally did. The files that wouldnt work would need to be renamed.
This allows a backup file to be created. So now when it updates it uses the backup file.
So now its fixed
