A very tragic event has taken place in Newtown, Connecticut today. A young man walked into the small elementary school in Newtown and opened fire on the children and teachers. The death toll is as follows.

-20 children, grades K-4

-6 adults, one of them the shooter's mother

Why people do this, I have yet to know. Sometimes I feel as though this world is full of savages. Then I look to my family, who have led me and guided me through the years. I look to my freinds, who have stood by my side and protected me as I have protected them. And then, I feel as though this world is full of nice people, and that shooters like the man mentioned above are just an anomaly.
