Hello~ I've been surfing throughout the bukkit community, and saw some pretty awesome plugins.

You'll need Bukkit in order to use these plugins. Download it here.

1.WorldEdit+WorldGuard- These are by FAR my favorite plugin of all time. Build giant walls andfortresses
with a type of a command. Protect castles and set rules with some other
commands. Useful for making big structures in seconds.
2.Essentials- Essentials has just about every beginner command for your new server. This is theessentialplugin (see what I did there?) for almost every server.An all-purpose plugin that comes with several extra things too!
3.PermissionsEXorGroupManager-
The famous permission programs! Made so people can't just blow up your
blood + sweat spawn, and not have insanely god commands.
4.CoreProtect-
This plugin is your not-so-average Block Inspecting program. You can
see who broke and placed the block, and you can rollback :)
5.Anti-Cheat/NoCheatPlus-
This is for any suspicious hackers that go on your server. Flying,
High-Jumping, this sees it all. I personally use NoCheatPPlus, as I feel
AntiCheat can get very glitchy at times.
6.PluginManager-
Tired of having to reload or stop the server for adding/taking out new
plugins? This plugin is the solution. With a command, you can setprioritiesof
commands, unregister commands, stop plugins from being usable on the
spot, and add new plugins! It is also very lightweight. This isdefinitelyan essential plugin if you have a LOT of plugins.
7.Multiverse/Multiverse Core-
Make multiple single/multi-purpose worlds with a type of a command!
Spleef, Hungergames, it's all here. Both download links of Multiverse
are essentially the same thing
8. TARDIS-
Doctor Who fan? Make your own TARDIS to explore and save the world!
(Requires Multiverse)
9 .iConomy- An highly-recommended, simple, and easy economic plugin. Shops, money, lottery systems, are all added.
10.Scheduled Announcer-This is a plugin that does exactly what it's called! Ever wonder how servers got thosemessagesto pop up? This is the plugin. It's very easy to configure and to set announcements. This is my favorite broadcasting plugin.
