For the (basic house) you will need a basement in the 1.2 snapshot pre release zombies can break down wooden doors so make a basement with a bed in it! A single room hints the name BASIC HOUSE - with a crafting table & large chest as well as a furnace. Also with a secondary room in the basement that has 4 large chests and your mine. The farther you go in the mine the more checkpoints you need including a crafting table + furnace.
