This submission is for obsidian boats, they would be crafted like regular boats but where wood would be you put obsidian, this crafts an obsidian boat.

Obsidian boats would be able to hold two players, great for SMP.

They would not break via fire, arrows, explosions and can only be destroyed with a diamond pickaxe.

They could be used on lava, making nether travel much faster and much easier.

And finally where the other player would be, you would be able to place a chest instead, to store extra supplies!
