OK so yes this is my first rant... or Blog or anything that I've done not involving buildings. But in my opinion this needs to be Done!
So I'm guessing like none of you know that I'm a regular user of planet minecraft visiting it maybe 2-8 times a day to check up on things, and a lot recently i have seen this one popular style of builds, one style that keeps coming up by a multiple amount of players, one that to me isn't even overly pleasing. This style as many of you may be guessing is simplistic,
Yes i love to build the style, its loads of fun to do and can really teach you how to use depth, or many other important building techniques that are useful in order to become a good builder. But overly its not a very hard style. Around 3 months ago this style really began to grow on planet minecraft, and around a month ago i decided to make my own simplistic house.
How did i find this project? For me it was one of the easiest builds i had made in awhile, once you find a good block pallet all you need to do is conduct a shape, make some boxes here and there with windows, throw together some interiors (which is by far the funnest part of this style) landscape the build, do some final touch up here and there and you are good!
By now almost anyone who builds this style will be wishing planet minecraft had a dislike button! But yes the style is loads of fun, yes It looks good if you do it right. But overall; it doesn't flow with cities very well, it is rather easy to build, it doesn't take much time or talent, and it really at the end of the day, Cant be over used!
i cant say it enough, this style CAN BE GOOD! if you do it right and you don't over do it it can easily flow with any other form of modern.
So what did i get at here... well at the end of the day i just want people to know that there are other styles out there. Try and create your own style, and if you cant do that learn more styles. WHY BE LIMITED TO ONE? I greatly encourage anyone who is reading this to try something new, expand your block pallets! expand your knowledge of the game!
Dont be original and learn something new.
