For the Minedeas Contest!
There are six main segments on the page below.
These will split into smaller segments and explain everything in detail:
1) Blocks:
- Colored Beds: Basically just for the sake of architecture. enjoyable and customizable!
Crafting recipe:
- Mossy fences, bars and doors: Again, this is only for the ascetics. Having something seemingly rotting is good for adventure maps, and on another note, I actually makes a use out of the mossy cobblestone! Crafting recipe:
2) Redstone:
- Flashlights: Could be linked with any power source to create an adjustable, focused light beam. Handy in map making and for awesome lighting. Crafting recipe:
- Pulsator: A redstone power source with adjustable ticks in between redstone pulses. Extremely handy in map making and for anyone using redstone! Crafting recipe:
- Elevator: Does what any other elevator do, lift things up! Could be linked with rails and minecarts to improve the rollercoaster experience even more! Crafting recipe:
3) Mobs:
- Birds (passive): Can make for a extra beautiful landscape. seeing the birds in front of the beautiful sunset, and hearing the sounds they make as the night falls will make for an amazing experience. You can breed these birds with seeds, and they drop eggs when their alive and feathers on death.
- Fish (passive): Can make for more dynamic experiences on a boat trip. Seeing fishes fleeing from you when you move, and coming closer as you stand still would be an amazing experience. They will only drop Exp on death, but can be harvested with a fishing pole.
- Town Guards (neutral): Normally stays close to a testificate village, and will defend its inhabitants from both mobs and aggressive players. Drops Exp on death, but can trade items while alive.
- Goblins (Aggressive): found in packs of three to five in caves. These tiny bastards will gang upon any trespassing victim, and will try to kill him to the best of their ability. They have little health, and very weak attack power (same as silverfish), but the give of a terrifying sound and can scare miners and new players out of their well being. Drops either iron, gold or redstone upon Death.
4)Realms:
- Ancient realm: Brings you back to the medieval age of minecraft, through a portal made of mossy cobblestone and bricks. In this realm your game is somewhat transformed into the "Tale of kingdoms" mod, and makes you a warrior in a certain Kingdom. You will fight against other tribes, make friends and grow relationships between soldiers, farmers and even the king or chief. Later on you will increase your rank, until you rule the entire realm. you can go back to the overworld at any given time.
5) items/food:
- Meat stew: A quite expensive bowl of meat and boiled water. replenishes 6 hunger points
Crafting recipe:
- Chocolate cookies: Small, tasty cookies with chocolate sauce and sugar. A little better than a normal cookie, since it replenishes 1 1/2 hunger points.
Crafting recipe:
- Longsword: A more advanced sword, dealing the same powerful blow of an iron sword, though with half a block more in range.
Crafting recipe:
- Dagger: Less powerful than an iron sword, but adds the haste effect to the player when in use.
Crafting recipe:
6) Upgrades:
- Laptop performance fixes.
- Enchantment randomness.
- Weak shade of the player when using invincibility potions.
- Footprints on sand for about 5 seconds.
- Some bugfixes like suffocating in a wall or teleporting mobs.

Like the idea of hostile Mobs that can make it funnier to play. :)
Also wish that you could add in coloured glass/panels, because thats would be awesome. :)
But once again. Nice ideas. :)
