Hey Pixel Punchers and Painters, my name is ToastGhost, and Welcome to a blog. Now in this blog I will go over What Diamonds, Favorites, and Subscriptions are. Now before I begin, I would just like to note that last night I reached 15 subs. Not a lot, but it seems like a milestone to me. Okay so, the blog starts DOWN THERE...

PMC - What are: Diamonds, Favorites, and Subscriptions?

Let's start off with diamonds.
Now, if you don't know what diamonds are, you are probably very new to PMC. If you take a look at the top-left corner of a submission, you will see a diamond in a blue rectangle with a number underneath of the diamond. That number counts how many people have given that submission a diamond. Your personal diamonds, (unlike favorites or subs) cannot be viewed by other members of PMC, and how many total diamonds you have earned cannot be counted from your profile. Now, what does a diamond mean? Diamonds should be given to a user's submission if they like that project, skin, blog, etc. Diamonds help a submission's listing, not by a lot. (There are over one million minecraft submissions on PMC!) Diamonds are essential in contest to get to the finals. And also, I have to tell you in this blog
not to do any of these things: Tell your friends to diamond because it gets popular that way. Say in chat "GIVE ME A DIAMOND" or "Please Give me a diamond Please" These are wrong and diamonds should not be given unless a user truly likes a submission.

Okay, onto Favorites.
The favorite button can be found to the right of underneath the submission's thumbnail/pictures. The amount of total favorites per person can be found on their profile. Some people think favorites are useless. Well, they really aren't. If you have many subscribers, they may check your favorites to see what you've been looking at. This may bring more attention towards different people and help them become more popular. Favorites can also make it easier to return to a submission that you recently favorited. Also, some idiots judge a book by it's cover and go with the amount of favorites. And also, what I said about diamond, don't do that with favorites either. It's just wrong.

Finally, subscriptions.
Ever wonder what that blue "Subscribe" button is? When I was an internet noob, I use to (On YouTube.) So, when you subscribe to someone, (You really like a lot of their submissions) you get to see all of them from now on, by just clicking the subscriptions tab on the front page. The amount of total subscriptions a user has can be found on their profile. You will often see a PMCer with their goals on their profile (like me.) Most of the time they include goals like "[ ] Get 50 Subs" And when they reach that amount, they are considered popular. And a lot of the time you will find on someone's profile a few people who they would like to get subscribed from. A lot of these people include site mods and judges. Also, anyone can view your subscriptions and who is subscribed to you. And again, please do not abuse your friends to subscribe to you. Thanks.

Well, that's about it for this blog. I hope to be making more blogs like this, but you never know! Thanks for viewing, maybe a diamond?
