Hello everyone, to all the viewers today, i will be talking about the PMC contests. This will be mainly for skins because i do not know much about other contests like building contest ect. I will be ranting about how fair and how the winners are decided and new ways that PMC and the players within the competitions can decide the winners and give "underground" skinners within the community new chances to shine inside the contests and uplift the enjoyment in these competitions. I will try not to offend any PMC skinners in this blog, therefore, do not flame me for unintentionally offending anyone.

The Problem: In the contest that PMC has, it seems like the popular skinners in the community automatically win for some reason. The contest is partially won by who gets the most diamonds, and contest judges diamonds count as 10. Now that you have that fact down you have to think of popularity. If someone who has many subcribers, and is very popular in the community, don't you think they will diamond just for the hell of it? Sometimes i think that the skinner does not deserve it. It is kind of sad that some people that are so talented in skinning do not get the recognition that deserve. That's why i am going to discuss this today with the readers. Here are some examples of some that deserve more diamonds, support, and subscribers. Note: I will be comparing two skins from a popular skinner, to an underground skinner from the contest.LMrjvCpng

Now, i'm comparing these two because one looks more like an executioner than the other. Now, on the right there is the underground skinner, it is very accurate with the choice of clothing and accessories, but on the left, there is only a helmet with the name of "Executioner". My point is, because of the name of the person, people always diamond because of it which gives an increased chance of winning to that skinner. The PMC community basically does not appreciate the skins that others put unless they are popular. It is a shame, but whatever right? Now, people will bring up the arguement that one has a lot more detail than the other but when will people realize that if the underground skinners do not get the recognition and support they need, they will not have the courage to continue their skinning if they don't have a chance to. Now when i say that people will diamond for the hell of it, i'm being completely series and honest. Here is an example of this type of diamond.

SWrYiVBpng

This is a skin made my a chat moderator. Take that in note that the person that made this is part of staff of some sort. But does this really deserve the diamonds it has recieved? Are people really diamonding because of the person that made this? I think so. A lot of the time when one comments on a skin like this and says he/she doesn't like the skin that was uploaded, the uploaders have these people that are....similar to soldiers, that flame you for opinion based comments. Complaining that YOUR skins don't deserve something and so on. It's annoying because the uploader does not even reply, because they know their soldiers will fight for them. PMC and the skinners within the community need to stop being such brats, Honestly! Another problem is that if the mod or the popular skinner has contest judges as friends, how do we know the judges aren't just diamonding because their names? I will be completely honest, i don't see any contest judges or staff posting comments and helpful opinions on underground skins, they are too busy typing on bigger names. There are many skinners out there that deserve more recognition. But won't get them. Now there are many rants and complaints about this. But are they really being put into consideration?

The gender of the poster always makes a difference as well. It IS a problem and if you don't like it, skip this part or don't continue reading at all. The gender does make a difference because people will be more leniant to diamonding/commenting on your skin because you are simply a girl. Note: I am not pointing any fingers... They are most likely looking for an internet girlfriend so they are diamonding because they want a minecraft girlfriend to play with. This happens ALL the time. Now before all you girls go on commenting and yelling that now all girls are like this, but 90% of the time girls advertise and make it obvious that they are girls, and they also make it obvious that they want attention. it is a well known fact that girls have the bad habit to saying that they HATE or dislike their skins. That's when the boys A.K.A the knights in shining armour come out of no where and give diamonds/subs and support to those who don't need or deserve it. They use this "Technique" in contests and in granting them a new chance to getting on the pop reel and so on... Unfortunently people can't take opinions which lead to blogs just like this to be removed.

Solutions:There really isn't any solutions to this problem because it simply will never stop unless the PMC community really steps up to see the true potential of underground skinners. We can stop this by really looking into skins that deserve diamonds, forget the players with BIG names in the community, now is the chance to look at the other players. It's time to make a change and give the other skinners the opportunity to become SOMETHING in the community so that they have the passion, and the supporters to continue improving and making skins for their subscribers and other followers.

Here are some of my subscribers that deserve more support, also other members that i have seen.

Now i hope all of you guys check out their content and please give them support they need! They really do deserve it and to the people that deserve to be recognized keep trying, you will make it! Please do not get offended by this blog, it is simply an opinion. If you disagree, don't support me or my skins. Simple....

Yes, sometimes the amount of subscribes does change the probability of winning. Like, for example, in the most recent contest, i made a templar skin directly by the book, and someone made one pure blue, and he was top 20. I was wondering how he made it but i didnt, but i still congratulated him on his skin.

I honestly have to agree with you, though I'm very happy with 16th place... A long time ago I also knew it wasn't fair in some ways, but I also knew I had to climb to the top, so when that next day that there would be another contest came, I finally could show my art to the rest of the world... Maybe this struggle for perfection is something a skinner needs...

I cannot describe how much I love you and this blog. You explained the problems perfectly and you are 100% correct. I feel bad for people that put a lot of work into their skins and they are never as popular as big name people.
Like that executioner by the underground skinner is really good and accurate but it won't ever be as popular as the big name person with all the little follower sheep even though the underground executioner deserves a ton of diamonds. It's like people don't care about giving little guys diamonds, they need diamonds way more that big named people.
I totally agree with you on the unfairness of moderators getting diamonds they don't deserve (I had a blog about this issue) just because people want to suck up to them. Gosh, it makes me want to slap some people across the face!

Sorry my comment is so long, I'm just really into this topic and want to get people to help out small skinners too!

I think that actually becoming a finalist is when skill AND popularity comes in. If not enough people see it, it won't get in. When judges actually judge the finalists, that's when it all comes down to just skill.
