Popular servers.... Too Crowded?

Some servers are very crowded and when this happens, the admins ignore you a lot of times, the chat is flooded and all resources is gone and most of all X-rayers and griefers come on and all you see is a wastland with broken houses and no trees :P (i had many experiances like that.) When a popular server begins to grow, and you were at the start of the server, thats the best time to join a VERY popular server. The start of the server.
