This might help some of you with your mapping. It's really simple.
/effect [User or @p @a @r][ID] [time] [intensity]
Effect IDs
1 - Speed - Lets you go faster than regular
2 - Slowness - Makes you go slower than usual
3 - Haste - Faster mining or punching
4 - Mining Fatigue - Slower and more realistic mining or punching
5 - Strength - Stronger that regular
6 - Instant Health - Heals Instantly
7 - Instant Damage - Gets Damage Instantly
8 - Jump Boost - Jumps higher that usual
9 - Nausea - Makes your screen strange and weird
10 - Regeneration - Lets you heal without full your hunger bar full
11- Resistance - Less Damage Taken
12 - Fire Resistance - No fire Damage
13 - Water Breathing - Can breath in water
14 - Invisibility - Invisibility!
15 - Blindness - only can see a few blocks around you
16 - Night Vision - Can see in the dark
17 - Hunger - Makes you Hungry
18 - Weakness - Makes you weaker that usual
19 - Poison - Infected by poison
20 - Wither - Infected by wither poison
21 - Health Boost - More hearts
22 Absorption - Shielding Hearts( once the heart is gone no more absorption)
23 - Saturation - Stuffed!
