Ever since i first started playing minecraft, I have always tried to live in a taiga biome. The main reason is that it snows, and doesn't rain. There are also wolves, and a good supply of wood. A lot of other people don't like taiga biomes because water freezes, and snow can get annoying sometimes, but they are my favorite biome. Then, Minecraft version 1.7 came out. It had a lot of cool features, like new biomes, new trees, and stained glass. But there was one change that made 1.7 my least favorite update: No more snow in taiga biomes. Whenever i complain about this, people always say stuff like: "there are cold taiga biomes with snow" and "it still snows really high up in taiga biomes". The problem is, I live in a taiga biome on most servers, and it's REALLY hard and annoying to move to a new house. At first I tried to move my house higher up so it would snow, but i had to go all the way to level 128 to get snow, and that's REALLY high. Then i tried making a platform really high above my house to block the rain. It kind of worked, but the problems were that my house was dark during the day, and zombies wouldn't burn. Later I made my house bigger, but i didn;t feel like expanding the platform, so now it rains on half my house. I wish they would make taigas snowy again.
