Day 5: I started looking around the Bounty to see if there was anything useful. Unless brooms and dust pans count as useful, I’m running out of luck. One thing I forgot to write down previously was my wounds are healing slowly. Even though Lloyd certainly isn’t the person I want to be around, he is taking the time to help me heal. Once my leg heals and I find a way back to Ninjago City, I’ll be free in no time, though I don’t know where I’ll go yet.

Our normal question routine continued, today it was us taking turns. So, it didn’t feel like an interrogation of the other person. I didn’t have any original questions, but his were starting to get to me. One of them was “How do you feel knowing you're all alone?”.

At first glance I thought I’m not alone, I have the Sons of Garmadon, but I guess they aren’t family. I guess it’s sad, my real family has long since been gone. Not to mention, I’m the reason my adoptive parents are gone. I mean, not like they actually loved me, but they were the closest I had to a family. Of course, I didn’t write any of this down, it’s not like he’d actually care. He probably just likes me for my looks and the fact I’m a princess, and nothing more. My response was, “Why does it matter what I feel?”. He didn’t say anything or push onward, but his solution was just to give me a hug. I have to be honest; hugs have become very rare for me. The emperor and empress never gave me hugs growing up, and Garmadon only gave me a hug once. So maybe a hug is okay, as long as I’m upset.

Day 6: Apparently Lloyd didn’t grasp the concept that a hug was an “only if I’m sad thing” because the first thing he did when I got up was say “Good morning, Rumi!” in a way too hyper tone to greet someone when they first get up. Then he hugged me. As for how I dealt with it, I took it very calmly. We are now matching with a black eye, though mine is almost healed.

After Lloyd got himself an ice pack, I noticed his phone went off. Not from a call, but more like a text or notification. He looked at it and had a nervous expression on his face. Once he looked up from his phone and realized I was staring, all he said was, “Don’t worry about it. Everything is fine.” As you can guess, I was definitely convinced by his answer. So, I tried to write to him about it. He kept on changing the subject every time I asked.

Day 7: Today, Lloyd asked if I wanted to play a video game with him. I agreed out of boredom and then realized that this was the first time I was allowed to use the TV since I got here. Trust me, I would prefer to watch TV than play interrogations, but the remote was never anywhere. Now that I think of it, I wonder how badly everyone must be gossiping about me. I could only imagine the headline, “The Quiet One survived, what will she do next?”.

The game Lloyd decided to play was called Prime Empire. He went on to explain how he actually went into the game. “I got to fight a dragon, customize an avatar and fight a boss that…” He stopped all of a sudden and looked at me with a sad expression and then said, “Never mind, it doesn’t matter. Let’s just play.” It certainly was a weird experience, but I wasn’t too worried. Lloyd may be the expert of weird because he gave up his childhood thanks to a magical tea.

Night 7: Finally got a chance to steal this away from her. Wow, I guess it is the quiet ones you need to watch out for. Listen Rumi, I know you’ll read this, so let me make a few things clear. First of all, yes, I still like you, but I’m not going to fall for the same thing twice. Second, you say you only want me to hug you if you're sad, but it’s kind of hard to tell. You normally have a neutral expression, the only reason I noticed is because you avoided eye contact. Unless you’re planning to avoid eye contact whenever you want a hug, how would you like me to know? Also, be free to let me know if there’s anything I can do. Talk soon!

Day 8: I can’t believe he took and wrote in MY DIARY! I mean, I suppose I should have guessed they didn’t just give me something to write in without wanting to see what I wrote. With that out of the way, I suppose Lloyd will read this again, so, Lloyd, STOP calling me Rumi. As for the hugs, you make a fair point, so just ask or something. I mostly spent my day searching the upper deck of the boat, while Lloyd would either play video games, clean or make sure I wasn’t getting into trouble. I didn’t uncover anything new, just pictures, a locked navigation system, and a first aid kit.

Night 8: Did you really think I was going to leave the navigation system unlocked? Also, you don’t need to waste your time trying to escape. If you see me playing a video game, you’re more than welcome to come and join. I don’t really know what you like to do in your spare time, since all you do is walk around and write in this diary.

Fun fact: This format of the story was inspired by the book “Secrets of the Sons of Garmadon” also known as “Garmadon Rulz”. Due to the fact, I found it interesting how we got to see what was going on inside the Quiet One’s head and how she thinks.
