Day 9: Since Lloyd wrote he didn’t know what I like to do, I found a pile of blank paper and grabbed some colored pencils. Then we had art and craft day. We started drawing whatever we wanted, then Lloyd came up with the idea for us to draw each other.

I wish I had my old diary, so I could show him the picture I drew of the priceless expression he had when he realized I was The Quiet One. Since I didn’t have my diary, I did try to draw him, but he moves a lot when he tries to draw. There’s also those awkward moments when we both look up at each other, then go back to drawing. I’ll tape the pictures we drew. The top is my drawing, and the bottom is Lloyd’s.

Day 10: Lloyd and I had a rude wake-up call at 4:00 am from HIS cell phone! He apologized, then glanced at his phone to see who was calling him. Without even answering, he turned off his phone. I tried to find out what was going on, but again he said, “Don’t worry about it.” He’s beginning to sound like a broken record on repeat at this point. We both couldn’t fall back asleep, so Lloyd made us both tea, and we had an early start. He didn’t turn on his phone or even acknowledge its existence. He seemed really out of it. Or upset? Maybe he was just tired? Even when he beat me at a game of cards, there wasn’t even a smirk. We both called it an early night as we were both tired and since I concluded, he was more upset than tired. I did the only thing that came to mind. I gave him a hug.

Night 10: I’ll make this quick because I’m tired. Harumi thanks for the hug, but please stop asking what’s wrong. We need to focus on getting you healed first before we worry about anything else.

Day 11: He did not just write that! He knows I still don’t love him, right? I mean, it’s crossed out, but it’s still there. Was it because I gave him a hug? Seriously! I’ve made it clear I want to escape, but I’m not heartless! I stormed up to Lloyd and shoved this diary in his face. His response was “Yeah… Uhm sorry about that. I wasn’t thinking clearly because I was tired. I tried to cross it out, but then I figured you would ask what the scratch area was about.”. I was satisfied with the explanation. So, I stepped back. Then he asked, “Harumi did you ever like me back, or was it all an act?”.

This is when I made the decision to talk to him, after all, he was reading my diary anyway. So, what real difference would it make? As for my response, I told him when I first met him the plan was to gain his trust, so I didn’t like him at all but… There was something he said that made me second-guess what I was doing. That being when we were at the canals. I let it slip out that I didn’t like being a princess and that I found it really hard. Then he replied about how he found it hard being the green ninja and how it’s hard to live a normal life.

Lloyd was silent, whether it was because I spoke or because of my response is unknown. Then I explained how I wanted to make him pay, but every time I was given the chance to finish him or capture him, I couldn’t. He cared for me. I know it was because you loved me, but I never had anyone care for me after my birth parents passed away. Despite that, I don’t mind his company. If that means anything.

Lloyd seemed really happy. He went on to explain how he was so happy I was talking again. Then he smirked and said, “You also can’t just say you like me?” I was annoyed by the comment but decided to let it slide because he was happy.
