Hey! In this blog, I will be telling you guys about my favorite server, The Nova. You may have heard of it; it is the second server that ExplodingTNT (famous Youtuber) has made. In this post, I will be telling you guys about the community, minigames, and more! I hope you guys enjoy, and hope to see you on! :)

Main Server Overview

One thing that is very unique about The Nova is it's global economy. This means that if you earn coins in one minigame, you can spend them on another minigame's items! This is a very cool feature that not a lot of servers have. The Nova has a very fun and energetic Staff that are always out there doing great things. The Staff are very open people, so never be afraid to approach one of them with a question. As long as you follow the rules and make sure others do too, you won't have any trouble with the Staff.

Minigames

Everyone loves having a good time playing some great minigames. On The Nova, you have a ton of those! Some of these include, but are not limited to: SkyWars, Hunger Games, and Prison! All 3 of these minigames are great, but there is one that was made by the dev, bartoke, that I think is the best of them all. It is called Zombies vs. Villagers (ZvsV). In this game, the objective is to kill the other team's boss. Once this has been achieved, that team wins the game. However, it is not that simple. Both bosses have a total of 400 health. The villager boss is a villager, and the zombie boss is a zombie (as you might have guessed :P). When you hit them, they start running around in random directions making them very hard to hit. Guarding the boss are 2 minions. For the villagers, they are 2 iron golems, and for the zombies, 2 wither skeletons. The minions have a lot of health and are very hard to kill. If you get in their range, they will go after you and attempt to kill you. Both minions have their own effects; the golems fling you into the air so you take fall damage, and the skeletons give you the wither effect. If you kill a minion, it will be regenrated by the king if you don't hit him in enough time. This is a long proccess, but if you slack off on the attack, you have to deal with the minions again. If you get passed the minions, you enter the boss room. In the boss room, there are 2 archers that are on the second level of the castle that will try to shoot and kill you. The archers are easier to take out, as they only take one hit to die. However, they will regenerate over a shorter period of time than the minions. 

Something that makes this minigame very unique is it's custom kits. There are tons of unique ways to customize your kit. You have a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, a helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, and an ability. You are given a primary weapon and secondary weapon in the start, but you must buy the rest of the items when you get enough coins. Abilities can be upgraded, but at a very high cost.

One of the most important thing in ZvsV is the PvP. If you aren't a good PvPer, you will most likely not be succesful in ZvsV. It is a very high paced game, and if you make one mistake, you will end of dying. You can kill other players, and your kills, deaths, and k/d ratio (kill/death ratio) is recorded and you can see your stats for that game. It is always a good idea to check out what those stats look like; it shows how well you are doing that game. Speaking of stats, you can track yours and everyone else's stats on the forums. Simply search your name in the search bar when you are in the Stats section, and you get all of your information. You can also look up other players. Also, listed right next to the search bar, is the ZvsV Top 10. These are the top 10 players that play on ZvsV. How are they ranked? Very simple. Your rank is based on the total amount of experience you have gained throughout all of your games. The higher experience you have, the higher your rank is. It takes a very long time to get into the top 10, so don't expect to be up there very soon.

Alright, enough about ZvsV. If you want more information on the game, be sure to check it out under the Stats section on the forums. Even though my personal favorite is ZvsV, you should always check out the other game modes, as you may find them very fun.

The Community

The Nova's community is incredible. Another thing that makes The Nova one of the best servers out there is how accepting the community is. You can be one of the newest members of The Nova and still have a bunch of friends that you can play with. A big part of this is the public forums. When I first joined (which was very early), one of the first things I did was get active on the forums. After a couple of days, I was well known throughout the server and had lots of friends. Connecting with people on the fourms is one of my favorite things to do, and I still do it. The forums also got recently updated, so they are a lot cleaner and more organized. All in all, the forums are a great way to connect with people within the server and gets you well known throughout the community.

Overall, The Nova is just a great place to have fun and to enjoy it with friends. I highly suggest you join; you might just find this to be one of your favorite servers.
