Being staff on any server is goal isn't it? You get the nice name, people look up to you, your on top of the world! But almost every person who is a staff member is fake... they don't really care, they don't want to actually help people. They want it quick, they want the power, they want the title. That's the definition of a staff member on minecraft.
I want to push aside any belief of this on my server. Sure you can apply as soon as you join, but will you get the position? Sure you can bother the hell out of me and say you want staff, but will you get the position? Sure you can have owned 900 servers before you joined mine, but will you get the position? Staff isn't really about any of that. Staff isn't about who is the most experienced with plugins, or know code or what not. It's about community. Its about the guy who doesn't ask for staff, doesn't even apply! He is just there enjoying other people's company. He is having fun, without having that power some "staff" player might posses. He is the most powerful and most impactful player on the server, and he isn't staff. Without people like this, where is the community to even need the staff. There isn't a point. You don't need staff.
