So for my first review I'm doing PridePVP the self claimed Hardcore Factions PVP server!
First things first, as soon as I join the server there was an admin spamming smite, hopefully he was just pleased Thor was in the new avengers and not using it on players. I was told to move 7 blocks before I could speak, when I'd already walked more than that easily, and it also meant I couldn't write /rules which is the first thing you're asked to do when you join the server.
Anyway I continued, first thing I encountered when I left Spawn were camper's with diamond gear (There's even a warning sign for it!) Hence I decided to take them on like the legendary block man I am! I failed. Then spawned in some destroyed area with people punching each other to death. I joined in ;), although after a minute or two it got boring so I set off to see what else was on offer.
Built myself the biggest baddest dirt hut you ever seen, to protect myself from punch crazed toddlers. One hunted me down. Yet again I found myself in the punch-fest that was the respawn point!
Once I escaped I asked what else there was to do, any special plugins? MobArena or War, since that's what I assumed would be there on the PVP server. I was told I could build.... Wippee.
So after playing the server for half an hour, I discovered it was just the same as any normal server. With the exception of Factions. It was fun for about 5minutes of punching and going head to head with diamond geared spawn campers, but after that was over I thought to myself, can't I do this on any server anyway?
Honestly I have no idea how they got to the top, there aren't any epic builds or anything outstanding, but with a player base like they have it's understandable.
If you enjoy unmodified normal PVP and Factions then this is the server you want, tons of players, tons of PVP.
But if you're looking for something a bit more outstanding and unique I'd give other servers a try.

Pro's:
- NPC's that heal and repair (No breaking that diamond spawn camping gear! And if the noobs get too much, heal yo ass!)
- High player base for a minecraft server.
- No lag.
- Tons of PVP
- Large factions that seem to be close
- Community seems friendly (until you kill them or they try punch you to death)
- Building enabled
- No Whitelist
Con's:
- Hard to escape the respawn point, or even the spawn (Although there are multiple exits so try another)
- No outstanding differences from any other normal bukkit servers.
- Too many deaths spamming chatbox and too much chatting to read
- Tons of destroyed terrain with no sense of direction
